Yes, I too fell victim to the scam perpetuated by RJ Williams and Associates, with Pat Fischer Nissan Chevrolet in Titusville, FL

My opinion is that the services claimed by R. J. Williams and Associates as being provided were incomplete and based on Fraud and Misrepresentation.I also believe that Pat Fischer Nissan Chevrolet Managers were willing participants in the scam.

The Williams Organizations runs, in my observation, a business scam built on the deception of honest people desperate for a good job in an area where good jobs are hard to find.

In this case they start with a large advertisement from Pat Fischer Nissan Chevrolet (a Titusville, FL, Ford dealership) on the jobs section of the Careerbuilder & Monster website with the promise of salary, incentives and bonuses while training. The reality is that you have to pay for incomplete training and you don't get a job, salary, incentives or bonus.

Many times during the training the Williams instructor, Steven Schwartz, told the attendees that everyone selected for the training will get a job at Pat Fischer Dealership. He later said that there would be positions at all 3 dealerships hiring 4 at each. But that statement should have been: you might get a job, somewhere, sometime.

The training was incomplete.

During the training we were handed photocopies of pages from a Williams text booklet. The pages had blank lines and we were to fill out the blanks with quotes from the instructor. Many times during the training Steven Schwartz said that he is not accustomed to having such a large class so he said he would have to skip some of the material and not do the drills that he normally would do.

The last day of training, Steven Schwartz handed out booklets that were the full course material. When I got a booklet I was surprised to see that we had covered about 25 pages of a 60+ page booklet.

And the job availability was not true.

I spent the better part of 2 total days of my time and had 3 different interviews. The entire room of attendees were told buy the Williams representative (Steven Schwartz) that we all had jobs at Pat Fischer Nissan Chevrolet. When I had my last interview I was told that I would get a call that Friday night. Well no call. I called Steven Schwartz and left a message on his voice mail, I also sent an e-mail to him. Immediately after sending this e-mail I recevied a return email stating...

"I'm sorry to let you know that

you were not selected at Pat Fischer. As I explained, we will provide

you with placement. Management didn't feel that your interview went

well. We will do everything possible to get you working.

I replied with the following email...

I will not need your placement services due to lack of poor communication and integrity, and Do Not charge my credit card the fees wanted up front. He replied with...

"I'm sorry that you are not happy with the result of the training class. I feel that I was quite clear in what the process would be. I

did put through your credit card on Thursday afternoon.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me or my

office on Monday."

I was misled and lied too. I had been taken.

I also looked up the organization on the Better Business Bureau web site and found over 23 complaints. Shame on me for not doing that sooner. I was really trying to find a job and let my desire for a job influence my judgment.

Most of this description is Identical to the one read on this site with the exception of Dealership & Trainer and experience.

Good Guy is right! I too am a former employee, and can attest to the fact that it indeed is a scam, perpetrated on their Trainers as well as the students. Alot of Trainers have long since left the company, as have many of their most talented employees in Orange Park. For me, it was because I could not in good faith look someone in the eye and tell them that "the training is not expensive", when I could have been looking at a single mother or poor unemployed guy who would be spending their life savings on not even a promise of getting a job. Truth is that you stand just as good a chance of getting a job at a dealership if you simply walked in, presented yourself to the manager well, and had the right enthusiasm and attitude. The "testimonial" letters you write are legal documents, submitted to head office by the Trainers and filed in the event a former student takes them to court, as evidence that the student was extremely satisfied with the training he or she received. While some people do indeed secure a position, in my opinion, they are people who would have been offered a job if they walked in without the training and asked for a job. Placement is basically non-existent, as there are so many people who aren't hired, the list is gigantic.

I am a former employee and the truth is that this company is indeed a scam. The owner is a former car salesman and claims to be a man of god (not true) However there is several loop holes within this company. One when you sign up for training they tell you that you will get a job so the class is bigger so the instructor and Rj williams gets more money. 2 in the contract placement is a provided but not ensured. They tell you you will get the job so you pay the 700 dollars or so to get the training. it is a tightly knit scam that works pretty good. As a former employee i highly recommend hitting them on the BBB website and staying way far away from these people.

Dear Jr, I do believe you! Guess what? I was a Top Salesperson at a Toyota Dealership and a Top Salesperson at a Honda Dealership in Colorado. There are current Sales Managers who will tell you that I was 'The Best' that they ever worked with! There are current Salespeople who will say the same thing too! But guess what? Almost ALL Dealerships in the country really want LIARS, CHEATERS, DECEIVERS & SCAMMERS working as Salespeople because this is what 90% of the Managers in the business are comprised of! The Car business is based on DECEPTION in almost all cases. There are only a few good, honest, Sales Managers out there. And if they SPEAK OUT against illegal and unethical practices inside the Dealership where they work, they'll be FIRED! I was fortunate to work with a few good people who are Managers. However, for every good Manager in the Car Business, there are 100 bad ones, really bad ones. Some are even convicted felons! When the Manufacturers decide to allow consumers the ability to get HONEST, TRUE, figures for their vehicle transaction at places like Walmart, Target, & Costco, then the business will start to become the way it should be. But, people like Jim Press and Katsuaki Watanabe will never allow that to happen. They will continue in their effort to conspire with their Dealer Network to FINANCIALLY INJURE innocent people. They even FINANCIALLY INJURE their own employees! Go figure that! Yes, I have sold cars in the past but it seemed that this dealership did not hire directly...they go through a 3rd party to get as much money as possible from innocent people who are led to believe they will be hired by going through this training. It is not hard to believe when the dealership is in Kahoots with the placement company. If you don't believe me look at all the other complaints from people scammed by RJ Williams on this website. I am not the only one taken by this bogus hiring process. Read all the other complaints...They all say just about the same thing.

Don't see why you paid for training to begin with

Sorry I don't see why you paid for this training anyway. If you have already sold cars I would think you already had experience and could get a job with any dealership without a class from a 3rd party who doesn't even guarantee placement. Hard to beleive the dealership had that much to do with the process. Why couldn't you go to the dealership in person without this class

First of all I would like to say that during the interview process I was asked what I did and didn't like about the previous dealership work. My response was about 30 seconds long stating that the money was good but the hours were long... I did not go on for 15 minutes about anything...The total time the interview took was 7 minutes...yes...I timed it. I gave them a brief description on who I was because they asked me. Secondly, The class was told that the dealership was hiring 4 people for each of the 3 dealerships totaling 12. Go ahead and deny that you led us to believe that. And last but not lease, one of the assignments were to go to a dealership and report back the experience we had. I went to 2 of the three dealerships we were training for and found that the lack of professionalism from the salesmen was a total turnoff. I was even quite embarrassed to say in front of the class what dealerships I went to. One of the salesmen approached me with a cigar hanging out of his mouth and asked "somethin' I can help you wit'? He didn't even speak proper english. when I told him that I was just looking he responded with "OK keep Lookin'! That's why I figured they were hiring new people. When I spoke with 4 others I was in the class with they told me they received the same email I did saying the interview did not go well. Oh, and about the letter I was asked to write...yes I said ASKED to write...Why would I want to say anything negitive if I was still in the hiring process? Now, I ask you figure it out! Any employer that is interested in a potential employee's skills usually willl provide them with company paid training...at least the reputible ones. Have you read the BBB report for your company? over 28 complaints..hardly what I call reputible. I don't know how you could sleep at night doing what you do.

This was a one week process. Student was interviewed on Tuesday, explained that there would be a refundable tuition. Student chose to come to class on Wednesday. Before lunch, it was explained that there was not a promise of a position, and that there would be a fee for tuition. He offered to pay, but it was explained that we would rather he think about it overnight. Student came in Thursday with a credit card. This student had previous experience in the auto business. During the final interview with the GM, the student was asked what he liked and disliked about his previous experience in the business. He spent 15 minutes talking about what he DIDN'T like about the business. Not a smart interview strategy. Didn't get hired. We offered to assist him with placement at another dealership, but he was not interested. This student wrote a glowing letter on Friday, speaking about how much he enjoyed the class and the trainer!! You figure it out.
