RJM Acquisitions LLC "RJM" Trying to collect a debt that has been paid and never even went to collections!!! SyossetSyosset -OR- Hauppauge New York
This company is trying to collect a debt that has already been paid, and never went to collections. They even tried calling me and collecting the amount over the phone with a credit card!
They were not on my credit report, which was a tip-off. They also did not have any extra information when I pressed them for it on the phone.
They DID however, have my bank account number (the one the debt was on) which is more than a little scary!
Be VERY careful when being asked over the phone to pay off any debt, also check out bill collectors to make sure they are legit! It pays to know what is on your credit report!
They did not offer me a "credit card" to pay it off, but they did offer to settle for about 3/4 the total amount...which would have put almost $600 in their pocket!
