 In recent stories, it seems Apache Corporation is suing Robbie Lea Ward, her estranged husband and another man for fraud over $1.5M.  What is interesting about this case is that the investigator for Apache, Jess Malone, is related to Robbie Lea Ward.  He is her brother-in-law.  Wonder how easy it will be for her to work a deal with Apache?  Can anybody say Conflict Of Interest?  How about the lawyers, reporters and hey, how about Apache get their facts straight.  Can one of Apache's investigators properly investigate a case without bias if he's married into the family?  This whole thing screams corruption.  She's about to get off with a hand slap when she should get some jail time.  What's up with this?

Not only did Robbie Lea Ward work with her now ex-husband and Chad Walker to defraud Apache Corporation (she was the one that introduced Chad to her husband in the first place) now she's been granted $4000K per month child support for one kid!!!  How do these kinds of things happen?  She's going to get away with taking money from Apache after she cuts a deal and blames it all on her partners while she laughs all the way to the bank with Apache's money and child support she doesn't deserve. 

Best thing that happened out of all of this?  All of San Antonio, the Alamo Heights community and Midland/Odessa now know what kind of person she really is.

*NOTE* I will be filing my own dedicated ripoffreport on Apache shortly, just commenting on this one

 

My family has 640 acres in the oil and gas rich Permian Basin in Texas. Apache corporation tried to pawn off a Ratification Lease on me, attempting to get me to 'ratify' that I as an heir, am only entitled to 1/2 of 1 cent per barrel (a barrel is 42 US gallons). On top of that, Apache is attempting to collect 'gathering' fees' which is so patently absurd on its face, it's beyond belief.

 

See, here's the deal: Say you as Grantor/Lessor have land and someone comes along and says Hey, at my expense I'll take the oil, gas, etc. out of your land and give you half. You say ok and you as Lessor drafts up an agreement with the Lessee who is going to take the oil, gas, etc. out of the land at their expense because they're getting the oil, gas for nothing other than extracting, gathering on their part. Then imagine the audacity of the Lessee who then comes along and tries to make you pay their part of the gathering that they are required to solely pay for! 

 

On top of that, Apache and their felonious sidekick Veritas 321 in the 'Contracts' attempts to mutate heirs into Owners. It is an utter impossibility for an heir to be an Owner! Veritas 321 told me they were going to send me an Affidavit of Heirship. But what they sent in its stead was a Ratification Lease which said I was an Owner all over it and a Form W-9. I immediately called Veritas 321 and asked them how was it possible to be an heir and an Owner both? They hemmed, hawed and stuttered and said they would send me out the Affidavit of Heirship. 

 

The way Apache and Veritas 321 are screwing the heirs is beyond immeasurable. These 'contracts' aren't worth the paper they're written on as they have all gone ultra vires. The attorneys (as usual) are preying on the heirs ignorance so they and the companies can line their pockets at our expense. This fraudulent inducement, fraudulent conveyance and securities fraud. 

 

Here is the Contract verbage my great grandmother made: 

 

There is reserved to Grantor herein, her heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, and excepted herefrom, an undivided one-half (1/2) interest in the oil, gas and other minerals in, under and that may be produced from the above described land, said interest being fully participating as to all bonus moneys, overriding royalties, production payments or other consideration hereinafter paid for the execution and delivery of any future lease for oil, gas and other minerals on said land or any part thereof, and the rentals and royalties and other benefits accruing therefrom, but Grantee herein, his heirs, legal representatives, successors and assigns shall have and is hereby granted the sole and exclusive right and privilege to execute any such future on the interest reserved to Seller herein in the oil, gas or other minerals in, under and that may be produced from said land, to the end that Buyer, for himself, his heirs, legal representatives, successors and assigns, shall acquire by virtue of this conveyance the entire surface estate, together with an undivided one-half (1/2) interest in the mineral estate in said land and the sole and exclusive right to execute oil, gas and mineral leases on the remaining one-half (1/2) of the mineral estate reserved to Grantor herein, her heirs and assigns; and Grantor shall have and receive one-half (1/2) of the bonus moneys, overriding royalties, production payments, or other bonus consideration, as well as one-half (1/2) of the delay rentals, royalties, and other benefits accruing from the execution by Grantee, his heirs, successors, legal representatives, and assigns, of any such future oil, gas and mineral lease.

So I am entitled to fully participating interest, royalties, overriding royalties, bonus moneys, production payments or other consideration hereinafter paid for the execution and delivery of any future lease and the rentals and royalties and other benefits accruing therefrom as well as one-half (1/2) of the delay rentals, etc., etc., etc. And these thieves offer me 1/2 of one cent per barrel? And they then failed and refused to give me a breakdown, percentages, baselines. 

I am rescinding the original 1965 contract due to the fact that there is no proof it was ever absolute and on top of the fact that they are trying to say my great grandmother was only entitled to nine (9) cents a barrel and I'm going to force these vultures off my family land.
