Robin Failla of Copeland Marketing contacted me on April 7, 2006 and told me she had an offer from a buyer to purchase my Ft. Lauderadel time share for $18,900 and closing would be within the next ten days.

Two facts should have red-flagged me: (1) that she feared losing the buyer if I didn't act quickly, and (2) that she required a $450 deposit (to insure my good faith in not withdrawing the property.

Since my property is a Christmas Week, ocean front time share in a very desirable location, I had no reason to doubt the sincerity of Ms. Failla's spiel. Boy, was I wrong!

I've not heard one word from Ms. Failla since she procurred the $450 deposit, and I have had nothing but runaround from any human at Copeland Marketing who happens to fall into accepting my calls when I do get through, which isn't very often. No responses to three faxes, either.

I am filing complaints against both Copeland and Robin Failla with Attorneys General of Florida and Kentucky, as well as with the Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes, which has a "Timeshare Complaint" form on-line.

Have we reached critical mass for a class-action lawsuit? I'm in if and when that happens.

Your actions are illegal. I will certainly be seeing you soon. Too bad you can't afford an attorney. Get a life.

Is a class action lawsuit against Copeland Marketing the next step?

Andrea Lunt of Copeland Marketing called me last week and said she would be sending me back the $450 they scammed me out of. Rather than taking that refund, I'm considering mounting a class action lawsuit against Copeland. How can those of us were scammed get in touch with one another?
