The situation is critical. This is it in a nutshell as I must go out for a while.

I turned in all the Screen Actors Guild paper work on Wednesday and late Wednesday afternoon I was sent

and email that they needed a $380.00 security deposit from Rob, via wire transfer or cashier's check by Friday January 22nd at 3PM. This is based on the fact that we listed February 17th as our first shoot date. Rob informed me today that he can't do it.

I sent SAG an email asking for an extension for Monday at 3PM. If SAG doesn't receive it then I'm afraid they will call Guttenberg's management and everything will be in jeopardy. Going forward situations like this will hopefully be avoided as we are all learning that planning ahead is not something to turn your back on.

However, there are some of you that have substantial roles and have not contributed as much as you could. There are others that just can't and that is understood. The $380.00 is a deposit, it will be returned minus about $ 80.00 for SAG Pension and Health. It is a fee based on 3 SAG actors getting paid $100.00 (plus overtime) each for the day. If they knew that Steve G. received $10,000 for this job Rob would have to deposit a hell of a lot more. Pension and health alone on $10,000 is $1500.00.

Mr. Mountjoy has in no way mislead anyone. I have been an observer for years and have had some involvement. Whoever is writing this "Rip Off" report is either a disgruntled actor or an envious producer that covets Mr. Mountjoys professional progress, his original ideas and his immense drive.

In the beginning the small company would at times act as a co-operative, people would pitch in whatever they could to get the production done. Those that just couldn't were never harassed, it was a very agreeable group of actors and the primary focus was doing good work. Everyone understood that talent prevailed. There were fundraisers held when the need arose. Mr. Mountjoy ALWAYS understood and respected the actors that could not pitch in, and there were many.

As with any project or company things evolve and hopefully for the better. In a short period of time Mr. Mountjoy has been able to produce a number of successful projects and of course at times has had to replace actors. He has also been approached by a number of different "producers" that wanted to "partner" with him on various projects. Unfortunately when their attempts to "partner" were turned down some of them were not happy. Unfortunately some people cannot conduct themselves in an honorable like fashion and take rejection. As anyone in the arts knows, rejection is something you have to live with.

Thankfully Mr. Mountjoy has not been affected my this posting as most professional people see this for what it is; jealous nonsense. Best of luck to you Mr. Mountjoy, your work and your company only gets better and better. As they say "Illegitimi non carborundum"...in other words "Don't let the B******s get you down".

The initial complaint, insofar as my knowledge of the company is concerned, is not without merit. The issue has not been resolved. Speaking as a colleague of the producer that Mr. Mountjoy claims posted this ripoff report, I can state for a fact that any such allegation of reporting on our part is a ludicrous charge in any event. The wording of the report itself clearly indicates it is one of his own actors, past or present, as no producer is concerned with being presented with a SAG waiver, etc.

Myself and my colleagues have stacks of evidence supporting this initial complaint, but we would not go to an Internet website with our complaint. We would be more likely to go to the Better Business Bureau, SAG, any number of the unions, the District Attorney, the Attorney General, et al., with this information, and we still reserve the right to do so. Mr. Mountjoy should have a care not to make baseless accusations.

In response to the original false report made by the rival producer. And you know who you are. I feel like I must defend myself since I can't get this site to take down the report until I pay them six hundred dollars. Seems like thats thee scam. Any way this is the truth.

I'm not a sag member never said I was, but I have one waiver from American Gangster. I work with actors/producers who all our under contract with me and in good standing with the company. And as far as talent goes come to one of my play's or see a movie that I write direct produce and cast and judge for yourself.

The actors in my movie DUCK WALLS where wonderful and did a great job the ones that did not get cast well it was nothing personnel. I had to go with company supporters and the top talent available to me. So please stop complaining continue to work on your craft and try to make things happen.
