I know the person who filed the original report. But even if I didn't know them, you only have to read the detailed fantasy that Becky Pelham (or whatever she calls herself today) answered in reply to know that she is just making up stuff. The report is clearly written by an adult, and as the person is writing from Connecticut they can't possibly have been living close to her barn.
I actually find it amusing that, in order to rebut a genuine complaint, Becky makes up such a piece of obvious confabulation that she only damages her own reputation further.
"I have no idea what Morgan is thinking about but this whole lying game has got to stop"
I think we can all agree on that one.

Well well well. Jessi/Morgan. This is very interesting. This child that is writing here USED to be a good friend of my daughter as well as her whole family friends with mine. Her and her sister and brother would come to my house about everyday and ride, play, and just be around. SHe has a sister who was always a pretty handy horse girl. Her and my daughter would hang out and ride a lot. This girl here, Morgan was not given the gift the other 2 were with the horses so there was always a lot of jealousy.
She did find and fall in love with a QH we got in. She rode him many times before convincing her parents to buy him for her. They did not have the funds but as friends, I let them take him on "payments." They had him for awhile and Morgan did have trouble with him. He was a great horse however she had a major lack of confidence which led to her riding being not what it could have been. The horse was fine though. I several times had talks with her mom about trading him for a different one but Morgan wanted to keep him. Good for her.
At one show she asked me to "drug" her horse for her to quiet him. REALLY! If that is needed then I think it is a wake up call that the match is not a good one. They went through half a class and at the trot the horse started to trot instead of jog. Morgan then started screaming. really screaming loud, never pulling on the reins to slow down. Just got off balance which in turn moved her legs about and the horse picked up a lope. He loped from one end of the ring to the other while she was screaming, bouncing, and never asking him to stop except with her loud screaming saying STOP!!!!
Well the horse did not understand english, only the yelling, bouncing, and kicking made him react. He did not buck, gallop, or even dump her. What a good boy. From that day on she was afraid to show him. Did trails and riding at home. No shows. After they had the horse for about 3 or so years he came up sore. Could have ben the extreme mud that year, maybe he was getting older, I think he was about 18 at that point. Artheritis, lyme, who knows what. Oh yea. The horse was still not paid for. Anyway, her mom called for help.
I had the vet do a lyme test, paid for that, got the meds for him as the test came back slightly off. Paid for that and we all know those meds are not cheap. I am done with this story. Too frustrating. I did a lot for this family and this girl who mind you NEVER showed against my daughter. And this is what happens when a jealous little girl has too much time on her hands. She did go to the Congress the year my daughter showed. I am here to say my daughter Never cried there. Morgan was only there for one day. We were for 8.
I have no idea what Morgan is thinking about but this whole lying game has got to stop. Morgan, I wish you health and fun with your horses. You have a lot more to concern yourself with. You do know what goes around comes around. Think about that one. You need better luck in life. Be better to others. As long as I have known you you have been, well, miserable, for lack of a better word. Be happy and be nice. We helped you a lot. Oh yea, I STILL never got totally paid for the horse and not anything for the vet bill or meds. They are in Indiana now so I guess its a lost cause. Taught me, hold papers, reposses horses when needed, and business is business even with friends.

Hire an attorney. Don't attempt to contact her yourself because you will find yourself being ignored, or if she does speak to you, then you will only get rude remarks. She isn't worth it. I found that out after trying to contact her a few times, and all she did was fight with me and call me a horrible rider and a disgusting person, just because I placed first over her daughter in a divison. She is a backstabber. Good luck though.

I have had nothing but bad luck with Becky. I also bought a horse from her, in 07, and began to show 4-h with her and her daughter. The horse is now lame, has many problems. And while showing with her I was informed that she used a drug called Ace on horses that were spooky, jumpy, etc. Most of the horses on the property at the time had what is known as Strangles, which is a pocket of fluid under their head, and she pops the bubble with a knife, needle, etc.
Stay away from her. She does nothing but lie, and is constantly changing the name of her farm and has recently married and changed her last name also.
My horse has also not been sound since I purchased him, but didn't send him back because I feared that she would send him to a meat pen or treat him badly.
