I had the same thing happen to a friend of mine who I met at Governor's Square.
I have had a similarly frustrating experience as well. I parked in this lot and
ran down to Governor's Square to get cash to go back and pay. As soon as I
returned "literally 5 min or less" I was putting cash in the slot and a woman
starts yelling telling me she already called the tow company. I argued for a bit
saying "I was doing the right thing by paying" but she was adamant about their
rule of once you step off the lot without paying you are subject to towing. She
demanding $50 cash to call off the driver. I begrudgingly paid the fine on site.
About 3 months later I get a call from a collections agency for a $50.00 fine
with interest that I had not paid on this lot and had received no warnings or
any ticket before the agency called. She turned in the ticket anyway and took
the cash.
Really, really bad business practices (if you can call them
that) in this lot and the collections agency Liberty Acquisitions Serving, LLC
is in on the predatory practice as well.
This lot would make a perfect
