Ron Beaver, who currently lives in Auburn, Maine, is a contractor and painter. I sued him in Androscoggin County small claims court and he was ordered to pay me $4250 plus court fees.

Ron Beaver agreed to perform construction work and painting on decks on my apartment building in Auburn, Maine. I paid him $4,250 in advance at his urging.

In return for this advance payment, Ron Beaver promised me a $400 discount and he also promised that his crew would show up daily until the job was complete. Ron Beaver promised it would take approximately 1 week to finish.

Workers stopped showing up immediately after he cashed my check. The small amount of work they did perform was poor quality. Every time I called he had an excuse for not showing up. He also steadfastly refused to return my money.

Then, in early November 2007, after months of inactivity, I suggested legal action against Ron Beaver. In order to avoid a lawsuit, Ron Beaver responded by promising to complete the project by December 1, 2007. Work was not completed.

I finally took him to court and the court agreed with me. The judge ordered Ron to pay me the $4250 plus court costs. Ron has still not paid me. I feel that Ron has no intention of paying me. Hire this man at your own risk. If you search the internet carefully, you will find that other people have written about similiar experiences with him.

I feel that Ron Beaver has scammed me. He still refuses to return my money.

Ron Beaver has moved to Florida as of January 2009.  He has moved there with his wife Kathleen Kerrigan Frechette Dumont-Beaver who, according to Ron, kept the books.

He registered a business with the Osceola tax collector under the name Rebconstruction.

Just prior to moving to Florida he tried to file for bankruptcy in Maine.  He submitted the names of approximately 10 individuals and families in the state of Maine and Rhode Island that he owed money to (approximately $40,000).  The petition was denied.  He plead the fifth to many questions.  It appeared to me that he was trying to file bankruptcy only in order to get out of paying back these people he took money from and did not do work.

Ron  Beaver still has not paid money against the judgement I have against him.
