I hired Ron's Construction and Builders to put vinyl siding on my mother's (82 years old) house. Ron pulls up in his truck with a angel painting on the side of his truck with some quote from the bible on it. This was in October of 2004. He offered me a price of 7,500 to side the house and the garage. Unfortunately, he was paid in advance (my mistake). He said he was giving me a good price because it was getting toward winter and his "crew" slowed down during that time of year. He started work on 10/31/04 and periodically showed up and worked between two and four hours a day. When hunting (deer season) started he was nowhere to be found December came by and I think he showed up once.

My wife and I had to call him on numerous occasions to see if he was going to come out and finishe the job. First his excuse for not coming out was that he was experiencing migraine headaches. In January we called him and he said he would have the job completed by the end of February or sooner if the weather permits. February past and we called him back. Said he had a heart attack. His wife said if I didn't believe this she would have the "crew leader" drop off his medical records. I didn't tell her that I read medical records for a living. Anyway, he didn't show up in February and was called and promised to have the job completed by the first two weeks in March. Never happened. He now says he has had a stroke. I didn't hire him, I hired his company. Interesting fact is that on his business card he states that he builds custum homes and additions etc. Yeah right! He told me that he would have his son finish the job. Well, I ran a people search on him and found out where his son lives and gave him a call. It was very interesting. His son stated that "he ripped you off". Said he wouldn't finish the job unless his father gave him some of his equiptment or paid him. Evidently, the father (Ron) has no intention of doing so as the son has never shown up as well. Needless to say I got rippped off by a con-artist. This past week I filed a civil suit against him and his company. So, for those of you who have ever dealt with this man, think twice.
