Roomster.net False Advertising!! The Internet
Roomster.net is a roommate search site that promises to help you find a roommate. They give you all of this access to see people's profiles, however, if someone contacts you, you have to pay to check your messages.
I signed up for 4 day access for 5.95. Not bad right? Then, when checking my banking account, I noticed as 29.95 charge from roomster.net. "Conveniently", you can only contact them via email; there are no phone numbers. On top of that, you have to log into your account to check the message. They gave me two screen shots, one of me signing up for the 5.95 and another of me agreeing to the terms of use. In the terms of use, when signing up for any package, they automatically renew your account for 30 days at 30 bucks. And automatically it was because it did not even wait until the last day of my 4 day access was up before they took the money out of my account.
In the last paragraph of their explanation, they stated that all sales are final and no refunds are issued.
These bastards! They dont even give you a chance to cancel before the money is already taken out. Usually you are emailed a notice when money will be drafted out of your account; none of that. Of course I canceled my account the day I saw the 29.95 withdraw.
PLEASE do not use them!!! I found no one on that site, and I checked every single day.
