On May 17, 2011 a peron named Agent Winston called me at work, stating that she personally had papers sent to the county where I live.  The papers accused me of check fraud and I would be arrested. She stated that I owed a payday loan debt and if I did not pay $214.00 that day someone would be coming to my job and seving arrext papers.  Natually I was scared and knew that I did not owe this debt, because someone from another collection agency had contacted me a month before and I paid them for a debt, that I still believe I don't owe.  I didn't have $214.00 at the time, but I used my car payment money and the paymetn plus 3% was taken out of my checking account that day.  I contacted the other agency I paid my money to, and they sent me a confirmation that the debt was paid.

On 5/17/11 I faxed the paid information to Agent Winston, as of 5/23/11 I have not heard from Agent Winston.  I have also talked with a Mr. Marx, and supposedly a supervisor named Agent Braswell.  Both Marx and Braswell assured me that once they receive the fax for proof of payment on the debt they would make sure my money was refunded as quckly as they took it.  Today 5/23/11, I have tried numerous times to call Agent Braswell, because she told me she would have to contact the company that I made the payment to previous to make sure it's the same debt.  Couldn't be another one I gave them the account number, anyway I still don't have my money and no car payment.  Also I scheduled two more payments.  I'll probably have to cancel my debit card to keep them from taking money out of my account.

I hate to tell you this you got scammed by a scammer. My advise to you is cancell the the card imformation you gave them. I would also tell my bank that there has been fraudulant activity done on this account. I would also suggest closing the checking account and reopening it with new #s.
If some one threatens you with arrest of an unpaid debt its a scam. Did this caller have a middle eastern accent? The next time someone with that accent calls you offer them some pork and tell them the next time they call you will put a hex on him and thier family .
They believe in hexes .
