welcome to the restaurant industry. it's not for the faint of heart. 2.13 is the STANDARD pay rate for almost everyone in the FOH. it sucks, but it's legal for any restaurant company to pay you this and get you wrapped up in their tips.tipout.tipsharing web. life on an income like this isn't for everyone, so if it's not for you, go find a retail job and stop complaining. and don't get on a consumer website and slam RT. your problem is that you didn't fit in in the industry. it's ruthless. it's cut-throat. people quit. whatever. stay out of the way of those of us that are successful at it.

Dude. Obviously you never worked in another restaurant because almost all restaurant chains operate the same way. But my biggest problem with your post is you. If you had a test that was really that important then just say NO that you can't work. No big deal. But since you did go in to work. Did you say something to your manager after 3 hours. Probably not. If you did and they told you to stay there then you could either do that and be a nice guy, or just clock out and go study and take care of your business.
