When I first met Carla Price and Steve Lewis, they were working out of their garage repairing scooters. We met through Craigslist, as I needed a tune-up. At first appearance, they were both nice Jesus loving people. After many conversations, Carla and Steve mentioned wanting to open a store of their own, but needed investors and capital. Since Steve had the know how and I had the capitol, we decided to rent a building on Poplar Street and buy a few new scooters to sale, which I had financed. Having bad luck with our neighboring business, we switched to a new building on Township, which I had financed. All this time, I was trying to make Carla and Steve sign a promissory note with me saying that I would be paid back double what I had invested, starting the first of the following year. All conditions they agreed to, but wasn't willing to sign a notorized document.
After a few weeks, I received complaints from our neighboring tentants about smelling gas fumes and loud noises. Needless to say, we were evicted from our building and Steve took the scooters I bought, documents of all the people we sold to, and all tools I bought, and put them into a storage building. When the time came for them to start paying me back, they refused. Saying they didn't have the money. When I asked for them to just simply give me money for the scooters they had already sold, they refused. When I asked for them to give me the scooters that were not sold, they said they had already sold them from the storage unit. An amount totalling $13,000. Carla and Steve are now leasing a building on North College Avenue, which I'm sure they have solely because of me. I was unable to pay my tuition for the following year because of these thieves. Carla and Steve are ungrateful con artists, who take advantage of everyone they meet and rip you off in a heart beat without any regret.
