Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I tried to buy a ASUS K52F-BBR5 that is in the weekly ad for $349.99, but the store two left in stock and they were both Geek Squad Optimized and would cost $60.00 more. The new price is $409.99. For what they do, I think the Geek Squad Optimization Services are very overpriced and they throw away the protective packaging, Some people would actually like to have the packing materials in case they move or need to ship the computer. Without the packaging, it takes away from that new computer feeling. I asked if they would honor the $349.99 sale price and the answer was no. I was told that the Geek Squad at the store was losing money and they could not waive the charges. It is not my fault that the store Geek Squad Optimizes ahead of time, 50% of the laptops. This could be viewed as an example of Bait and Switch. You come into the store expecting to pay the sale price for a computer and then are told, there are none available at that price and you are forced into paying the Geek Squad Optimized Price, if you want the computer. This isn't a example of best savings, this is Bogus savings!

Woody, I understand now. Some fraud impostor copied and pasted your report.

I do not know why anyone would do this..but hey..it is an un moderated website and free country so anything goes.

Granted I still feel you were not forced into anything and if so you were only victim to a shady or improperly trained salesperson and not a company policy (which I clearly posted BestBuys policy..) but either way..you deserve equal respect and time.

It sucks that some idiot impostor fraud is trying to take away from the credibility of your report this way. I don't have to agree with your report to know right from wrong. What this impostor has done is dead wrong. Good for Robert for posting all the evidence. In this case he did the right thing for the right reasons in my opinion.

These fools can't even come up with an original report without it appearing to be written by a 6th grade dropout! LOL.

You're correct Woody. Your original ROR is here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/computer-stores/best-buy/best-buy-geek-squad-best-buy-o-4d569.htm

I suspect that someone got fired and is retaliating against his/her former employer or perhaps someone had a legitimate complaint and has gone on an "internet rampage."

Who knows? Who cares? You would think that this joker would realize that all these reports are simply unbelievable.

I guess youve been paying attention to my recent rebuttals about your bogus reports.First, it was the poorly written spammed reports, followed by duplicate reports, and then copying (verbatim) old RORs against other companies and resubmitting them as new reports against Safe America.

Now youve copied an OLD ROR against Costco, edited slightly, and resubmitted it as a new ROR against Safe National. I suppose I should give you a point or two for attempting to disguise your bogus reports as legitimate, but the reality is your efforts to deceive people are PITIFULL!

Here is the original Costco ROR (278220) from Oct 2007:http://www.ripoffreport.com/department-outlet-stores/costco/costco-5-hours-wasted-trying-t-w4f25.htm

You copied the Costco report, changed the order numbers and the name of the 28 monitor, and then posted it as a new ROR about Safe National (680779):http://www.ripoffreport.com/on-line-stores/safe-national-of-ame/safe-national-of-america-http-9749b.htm

Another example of your creative editing is from a Best Buy ROR (1227 Feb 2000).The original Best Buy ROR is here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/computer-help-desk/best-buy/in-home-warranty-at-best-buy-bm478.htm

You copied the Best Buy report, changed the Circuit City reference to other retail online stores, and then posted it as a new ROR about Safe National (680785): http://www.ripoffreport.com/audio-electronics-shops/safe-national-of-ame/safe-national-of-america-home-73ee7.htm):

Any credibility these reports might have is now in the toilette.Perhaps one or more reports may have been legitimate, but it is now clear that someone is on a vendetta.Perhaps youre one of those repair your on-line reputation outfits trying to extort money from Safe National. It wouldnt be the first time someone tried that approach.

Perhaps you really had an issue and have gone on an internet rampage. That too, has been done in the past by others.

Could it be youre a disgruntled former employee who was fired? That has happened here with other companies as well.

Whatever your situation, your nonsense is just that-nonsense that should be ignored by all.

P.S.Im not an advocate for Safe National.I wouldnt order a thing from them because their SSL certificate is for a DIFFERENT WEBSITE (defunct best-savings-shop.)Check it out for yourself at www.bestsavingsource.com and go to the checkout. This is a huge RED FLAG that should be a warning to all.

More of you new RORs are below.

A Ripoff of Ripoff Report

Whoever this Safe National of America or www.bestsavingsource.com is, they do not know what they are talking about. They copied and pasted my original Ripoff Report about the Papillion, NE Best Buy. For the record, this store frequently has a very low inventory of sale item laptops and more often than not, the only laptops that are left are Geek Squad Optimized. When I tried to buy the computer in question (ASUS K52F-BBR5), there were only two left and they were both Geek Squad Optimized. When I requested to have the charges removed, because I did not want the service. The store refused to do so. I was told they had to charge for the service, because Geek Squad was losing money. I really wanted this computer because it was a Asus and it was being advertised at a amazing price. When I say I was forced, I meant that if I really wanted this computer and wanted it at the sale price, I had to pay for the Geek Squad Optimization. The big issue here is, that Geek Squad is opening and optimizing around 50% of the laptops before they are purchased by a customer. There is a assumption that they know what customers want before the customer does. In some states, once a computer has been opened and original packaging removed, it can no longer be sold as a new computer. You would have to check with your state law to see if this applies to you.

Of course this report is a HOAX...

..just like the other similar post which was addressed as BestBuy and Geek Squad..

This report is a carbon copy more or less of the last HOAX this OP pulled..

BestBuy does not "FORCE" anyone to buy a laptop for more then the advertised price.

If all they have left in stock is "pre setup", the customer can request to decline the optimization and then have SEVERAL choices.

1) get the optimized laptop at the advertised price

2) have Geek Squad restore the laptop to manufacturers specs and pay the advertised price

3) request to have an unopened laptop ordered if the packaging is that important in case you move or need to ship it and can't afford to buy some foam or bubble wrap and a box.

4) shop elsewhere.

Hence..this report and OP is ONCE again..concluded a HOAX.

I think that this person actually thinks bestsavingsource is Best Buy!

That is the problem with illiteracy these days. It goes hand in hand with overall stupidity and lack of common sense.

This person obviously thinks that Best Buy and Geek Squad are also known as bestsavingssource.com and/or Safe National of America! What an idiot!

If you responded to a BEST BUY AD, you should post your ROR accordingly with BEST BUY in the title ONLY.

Best Buy and/or the Geek Squad have absolutely no affiliation with bestsavingsource.com or Safe National of America.

Idiot.

Can you say, "BOGUS?"

The poster claims to be from Ohio but says he shopsat a store in Las Vegas.

The problem is that the address given for Safe National of America is just a mail drop. There is no store there.

Safe National has a website at bestsavingssource.com. It is rather apparent from that website that it was purchased as a generic turn-key operation. If you look at the links you will find the name of yet another corporation that administers the site.My first guess would be that this site was sold with the promise of great riches from online selling. My guess is that the owner has yet to sell anything.

I do not know who it is that keeps posting all these bogus reports or what his beef is withSafe National. How about posting a photo of this store or a copy of your receipt?Where did you find that weekly ad? What newspaper was it in? Why is the Geek Squad at Safe National instead of their home at Best Buy? How many stores does Safe National operate and where are they located?
