Please read and weigh the pros and cons.
okay first lets get this out of the way: i dont care about the company and dont want to know about them they can be a rip off or not i dont care. NOW the 60 bucks i would say is however legitimate for a background check, if you become an insurace agent lets just say farmers for example you have to pay 60 buck and there are other commission only type of jobs where you have to pay for your own B.C. NOW for the 99 bucks i dont know what that is or anything but im assuming you could compare it to a business expense like a business card and write it off on your taxes. NOW like i said i dont care about the company dont want to know them or anything but just to let some people out htere know that you really do have to pay for your own B.C. sometimes and it may be a legitimate company.
all in all to be honest i wouldnt pay for the 99 but i would pay for the 60. I think the 60 is legite but i dont know why they need to run one. your not dealing with personal information just small amounts of money, so that does sound kinda odd.
oh yeah for this lady saying we are hiding our names, so what it doesnt matter. you may be a success but that doesnt mean other people arent either. i also read think and grow rich. i'am also a success, i own a 8 bedroom house 3750sqft 4 full bathrooms. 3 paid off cars in southern cali
COMPANY MAY BE LEGITE OR MAY BE A SCAM. WHO CARES IF YOU DONT LIKE THEM, THEN DONT WORK FOR THEM. NOBODY IS MAKING YOU WORK FOR THEM, THEY OFFERED YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE MONEY.

The people who complain on this site about Safety Pro, Inc. wont even tell you who they are. They dont want you to know that they are losers and couldnt make the opportunity work for them. They dont know about business and being in charge.
I, Nedra Bolden am a winner. I have been a manager for Safety Pro for 5 years. I paid the $60.00, the $99.00 and sold $3,000.00 worth of products. You can come to follow a winner and be successful in your office as a manager or listen to the losers and stay broke and unhappy in a minimal job.
For this career there are 5-steps to complete in order to become a manager. One of the steps is to educate people on preventing fires and do $3,000.00 in sales. Each person knows about the sales and signs a contract prior to starting the training.
Our products are on the cutting edge of the fire safety industry and we have committed ourselves to selling only high-quality state of the art products. With our great products, we do not have to scam anyone. Our products work better than the fire departments because they will not be at your home in the 3 to 5 minutes that it will take for you or your family to die or lose a home in a fire.
The 5 steps I went through are the same 5 steps the people who complain on this site have to complete. However, they quit. If they had finished the training they would be managers too. They did not have the drive, desire or determination to succeed. Most likely they will not finish or complete anything. In life Read the book Think and Grow Rich It states that only 5 people out of 100 will be successful. It is easier to fail in life than it is to succeed. The failures complain and say it the companys or someone elses fault when they are the failures. They need to take responsibility for themselves and admit that they are the reason they are failures. They should have had more courage and made it work like I did.
I will see all the failures as I look down and I will meet the successful people at the top. Will I see you up or down?

I know the first rule of obtaining any sort of employment is to NEVER pay for a position. EVER. I'm so glad my mother asked me to do a background check on this company before she decided to waste any gas on commuting to an interview through rush hour. I googled this company and immediately found rip off reports testifying against their illegal get rich quick scheme. Even if someone requires $60 for a background check, which hardly EVER happens, any reputable professional would dock it directly from your first paycheck once hired. These people are wrong and should be thrown in jail for the belligerent stealing they do to innocent Americans; especially during this economic plight we are all enduring. If I had the means I would be more than willing to take legal action against this company but alas they target humble and honest people.

Safety Pro. would never ask anyone to sell their products under false pretenses. All guarantees and free replacement policies are in writing in its sales manual. All necessary business licenses for each office are displayed in each lobby of said office. Obviously not all managers know each other since they are in different areas of the country. However, most know each other locally. Terry Hershberger/Safety Pro, Inc. is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and has been since March of 1992, his membership # is 125000. Safety Pro, Inc. does not teach their sales reps. that the NFPA endorses Safety Pro, Inc. The company simply teaches that it is a member of the NFPA and gets its statistics and information from the NFPA. Safety Pro, Inc. business license is 608409 and is issued yearly. Safety Pro incorporated in November of 1995 and was located in Costa Mesa, CA. and moved to Corona, CA. 1998. Safety Pro, Inc. offers a management trainee position to applicants. Applicants are given a 25-30 minute company orientation upon applying for the position. In this orientation, the applicants are given the basic requirments that need to be completed. Upon completion the management trainee would be promoted to office management. After the company orientation the applicant is then taken into an interview. Upon a successful interview the applicant may be offered the position of manager trainee, and explained to them that if they accept the position there would be a $99.00 kit fee for the materials needed to complete their training, and that it is fully refunded upon becoming an office manager. This information is not only explained but is in writing on the registration form. The applicant would have already known about the registration form, because it is explained to the applicant when they call to receive information on how to apply for the position. To process the registration form there is a one time registration fee of $60.00 to defray the company's administration costs associated with processing the registration form and registering the applicant on the company's computer network. It also allows the company to conduct any such random background investigation as, in its discretion, it shall deem necessary, including, but not limited to, a credit check. The applicant is then given a copy of their registration form. Upon completion of training and getting promoted to manager, the manager then decides which type of office set up works best for them. Minimum sales requirment is $3000 worth of equipment. The company reserves the right to vary that on a case-by-case basis, and Safety Pro, Inc. makes no advance commitments as to what levels would ultimately have to be met. Safety Pro, Inc. promotes individuals from the position of management trainee to manager bases upon merit and performance. All hired individuals are believed by the company to posses the ability to so progress. Safety Pro, Inc. looks forward to seeing each trainee set their goals, realize their dreams and achieve beyond the expectations of others.
