On July 31 2017 I attempted to purchase a new car . The company was attempting to finance me through ally but I was denied. I received a letter from Ally in the mail on August 19 2017 stating that i was denied because my credit was only 546 as stated on sage stream LLC. on every other credit report my score is well over 700.

Most lenders use FICO scores. Some lenders don't. It is best to check with the lender, before you apply, as to which CRA they are pulling from and which score will be used for their lending guidelines. If you are saying you have a 700+ score with Credit Karma, that is not a score that any legitimate lender uses as it is a Vantage score. Yes, it makes a difference. Don't have any lender pull your credit report and score unless you know who they pull from and what score they use. JMO.
