I have been seeing Laurie for quite some time. However over the years she’s cut out a third process as to not damage my hair so she says but had no issues doing it for years before -however each time I leave there - my hair is purple tinged from the toner. I have called in the past, I have walked in in the past and literally showed her what was going on, and I’m told to just keep washing it with a clarifying shampoo to take out the purple.

I’m not a young kid or an older individual that likes huge spots of purple in my hair. If I was toning my hair myself I could see it looking the way it does. But I’m paying a professional who went to a color class which they show the certification on the walls. When I do wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo I have to wash it a lot and multiple times throughout the week to get it out. In the meantime I’m washing the rest of the toner out too so it looks brassy.

I can’t wear my hair up or certain ways bc the underneath is so off versus the top. Does she care? No. Receptionist tells my husband she’ll contact me on her next day in. But if it was her hair she wouldn’t walk out of a salon the way she allows me to walk out. I’ve left messages for the owner in the past all to be given back to the girl who can’t do my hair right. How does that help? But they are friends ... Laurie speaks of how they go out for drinks so I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised that an owner would let her employee let a customer walk out with purple tinge and pay for it and be told to wash it out myself / which washes out the rest of the toner.

This has happened so many times I can’t even count. I should have left there a long time ago. It’s not fair at the prices they charge to tell me to wash it after I just paid to get it done three or 4 times or more to get the purple out. They’ve known about this problem for a while yet nothing is done. Instead they take my money and my husbands who is irked with how it’s looking after I come out - and it’s maybe fixed one time and it’s back to the same purple tinge. No money off, no fixing of it, just telling me to fix it. Great practice with telling the customer to fix it. This will be going to small claims if I don’t see 200 at least back for all the times I had to wash it out myself / 4 of which I complained of!

 Basically the release in my opinion is a joke and that of my attorney because she literally admits in correspondence with me that it’s inevitable that I would get the purple in my hair yet her attorney says in his letter she has denied any wrongdoing on this matter. That’s because she’s friends with Laurie nahass and can’t decipher in my opinion when to put her foot down with her employees. Guess Laurie doesn’t know how to wash bleach out of a braid either which another salon noted. The release also stated that one could not sue her for any and all damages but it’s ok for her employees to still harass me. That’s ok.  The owner Becky recently saw the reviews about her and Laurie and decided to basically blame me via the yelp dm message about how it’s normal that if someone like myself doesn’t want any warmth, that they should expect to see purple tones. From the toner, that again Laurie wants you to wash out as the customer. Becky stated in that correspondence that it takes a skilled stylist to work with my hair. First off, anyone that knows how to take their time and not rush and overlap on previously processed hair would know that’s the issue. They’re blaming my extensions which they knew I had during consult years ago. Also I might add when Laurie used to try to cover up the purple with foils she only used 4-5 and they were on the crown of my head. That doesn’t contain extensions but Becky seems to think that is why Laurie stopped the foils. Which I never complained about. However once she started making my hair purple in some spots then I did contact the salon on numerous occasions asking for Becky. Becky just told me this past week that she gives her front desk staff free decision making on if they should call on her even if you’ve asked for the owner specifically. I’ve called, I have went in with pictures asking for Becky and I’m always told I still need to speak to Laurie who’s the one messing up my hair.

Additionally they are writing fake reviews on yelp where they had no had anyone rate them for 5 months then I review and then suddenly a Michele m (who works for them) decides to make up a new account just to review this salon with 5 stars. This is how this place operates. I have went there long enough to know that if you complain you’ll be talked about by the staff. There is a woman that Laurie recently said supposedly harasses them and they don’t like to do her hair but think she might have dementia. This is what you hear when you’re there and how no ones "issues” with them are sacred. This lady Laurie was complaining about is older, and probably doesn’t use these sites. So I’m sure she wouldn’t have liked it that her name was out there. Becky seems to think she knows what goes on there but the days I used to go until I switched to Friday she wasn’t even working - yet in her opinion she knows everything that is happening with what her employees do and say. Basically you can’t complain and raise your voice out of frustration with them on a message without being called harassing.

I got the blonde I wanted from another salon that knows what they are doing. You sit there longer but they don’t rush through it. Plus they had to fix all the mistakes they saw Laurie had left behind thinking my extensions would cover it. It’s also funny how their own receptionist who spoke to my husband on Monday knew and understood about the purple. That would be because I showed her pictures before looking to talk to Becky but got Laurie. In my opinion if you literally want to get blamed for choosing a hair color that they then say will pull purple, which experienced stylists don’t pull it, and then be told you NEVER tried to speak to the owner is ridiculous when I walked in looking for her with pictures. If her receptionists don’t want to tell her it’s a continual problem (which is who makes the decision if you even talk to the owner per Becky) then what did she expect? She doesn’t know where all my anger is coming from? It’s built up frustration that I pay for something and get hair that looks like someone from HS did it.

If Becky and Laurie want to continue to create false reviews to try to raise their rating and I don’t see the money owed but more backlash - then you will both be summons to Milford district court. Blaming me the customer, lying about how long I left a message, making fake reviews. Yet your own receptionist knows what was going on for a while. So sad that you ruin your own reputation by allowing ppl to leave your salon looking the way you do. What I will say is your dm Becky with your passive aggressive attitude and taking zero responsibility when you have no clue what I have tried with your place is not at all proper. So the only one that makes themselves look worse is you and Laurie. I have all my proof and I have two stylists to testify in court about Laurie and yourself. So if you wish, please continue to tell me my hair can’t pull blonde without purple bc this recent pic shows otherwise.
