Thank you Rip-Off. I finally received my rebate. It is sad that major corporations are so uncaring and resort to deceptive tactics though. Maybe they will wake up some day and realize there are honest people out there looking for honest companies. These consumers will change the company they buy products from. Thanks again Rip-Off for allowing me to vent if nothing else.

Nick, thanks for catching what was an obvious typo and no normal person would confuse that with unethical behavior. The purchase was in 2005 and just because you have not seen two rebates doesn't mean there weren't two. Others in Samsung at the phone number on the rebates and the store that sold the printer know about this printer's rebates. There are two rebates for the ML-1740 as advertised by the store and I have two different mail-in rebate certificates. I did check the rebate certificates as I was wise enough to make copies before sending. Did you? The person replying should have known there were two rebates. But the attempt to mislead readers is proof of what I'm reporting and their feeble attempt at a personal attack supports my positon. And also gives an indication they may have other tricks up their sleeve. Both rebates were mailed to the same PO box in Nigara Falls. The only thing different was the Dept. no, 64095 and 63097. Regardless, as I first reported, they have missed their guarantee of a rebate check in 12 weeks by many months.

Your post says you purchased the printer on 7/3/06. Uhm... when? So you sent a $20. and a $60. rebate with the same receipt to the same place? I've never seen two mail-in-rebates with the same address. You probably had to send 2 rebates to 2 different places. Or seperately. Check your copies and lets see what it said. Or call the rebate distry's number and find out why it was denied. As well, make sure it didn't specify that only one rebate was good per address. Lack of ethics? You couldn't even be accurate with the first sentence of your post. Even so, almost ALL manufacturers do third-party rebate distributing. A more effective approach would be to look at your copies of the rebate and post the name of the distribution center here and complain about that. Not all companies get feedback on the distibution of rebates, so it is important to let the manufacturer know if you are dissatisfied.
