Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Thank you to everyone who has written in about these scam artists. While still on the phone (with them), I was quickly able to research and discover that this company has lousy business practices with over 150 complaints with the BBB (website: http://sandiego.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=26&bbb=1186&firm=30003727).

As with everyone else who has written in, the same slick scam was attempted on me. They had my child's name, home address, and unlisted telephone number, and implied they were working in conjunction with the high school. It is not the scam that troubles me so much, as how is it that the organization that administers the PSAT has given our minor children's private information to common criminals.

So turnabout is fair play and information is powerThe SAT & ACT Prep Center (website: http://satandactprepcenter.com) operates out of Coppell, Texas and the College Prep Center out of LaMesa, CA. at the telephone numbers (866)-400-7737, (972)-956-0933, (619)-668-2233, (800)-935-3603 and (866)-391-7737. The Coppell Texas headquarters has 2 addresses. If you search Dallas county public records at: http://www.dallascad.org/SearchAddr.aspx you will find that Frances Stuart is Doing Business As (DBA) the Sat & Act Prep Center at the address of 1203 Crestside Drive, suite 310, and shares the office space with another company, (by the way, that other company's toll free phone number works just fine if you want to call Frances, since they share an office) I can assure you that Francis will call you back mad that you called her landlord, but hey that's what you get when you don't answer your phones.

The second address (458 Whitley St., Cedar Hill, Tx) for shipping & receiving belongs to someone else at a residential dwelling 32 miles across Dallas. If you search long enough you will find that in San Diego county: http://arcc.co.san-diego.ca.us/arcc/services/fbn/search.aspx , Francis and her hubby, John also own and operate several registered and fictitious businesses, including the SAT & ACT Prep Center and College Prep Center in LaMesa that also has a multitude of complaints with the BBB and various reporting agencies. Don't you love public records!

As a community we should be able, collectively, as parents, educators, school districts, states, and law enforcement agencies to prevent the indiscriminate distribution of our minor children's private information to people who are nothing more then common thugs with a phone, and who employ hard sell telemarketing scams/fraud as a form of employment and income.

Please contact your school, school district, credit card companies, and the Collegeboard.com to complain and inform as many people and organizations as possible.

By the way, if anyone has every read any of the Sat & Act's rebuttal's, it's clear that the people behind this scam are illiterate and lack a command of the written English language, and should probably practice for the SAT themselves, because I doubt that any of them graduated high school. Their claim to fame is establishing multiple (and sometimes fictitious) businesses with the intent to hard sell (scam) junk. Their parents must be so proud.
