SC Marketing Group - Cydcor advertise jobs online, rip off Louisville Kentucky
I applied to for an entry-level marketing postion on monster.com for SC Marketing group in Louisville, KY. I kept getting a bad feeling because they were advertising jobs all over on-line web sites, inc. Career builder and jobs.com. When they called me to set up an interview, I asked them all kinds of questions trying to figure out what they did b/c there was nothing on the net about them. They were very vague telling me that they did sales and promotion and they had a really big client, Bellsouth, that they worked with.
I gave them the benefit of doubt and went in to the interview anyway. They interviewed me for all of 10 minutes for an "entry-level management training position" and told me that eventually I would be an "account executive" in a nasty run-down office. I couldn't figure out why they were interviewing this many people for so many positions in such a small office. The woman said they would call me later on that day and indicate whether i would be selected for a 2nd interview where I would follow an account exec. When they called me back they told me to come in professionally dressed and wear comfortable shoes. I kept looking on the net because I was going to have to take a full day off my current job to do the 2nd interview and I wanted to be sure.
When I asked the woman in the interview if they were a local firm, she said that they had a head office but this was alocal branch. She never mentioned any parent company, though. After further research, I found that SC Marketing Group is a part of Cydcor and they force people to walk around on their 2nd interview door to door. I then read report after report about people with the same experience. I am not going on the 2nd interview and I would have been PISSED if I had taken the day off. This job is a SCAM and please report to your Better Business Bureau, that is what I am going to do.
