SCI*STAMPS.COM - Stamps.com ripoff, fraudulent, unprofessional, bogus offers, dishonest, mean emails Internet
I also made the mistake of signing up for their "FREE Trial Offer" which was bogus in itself. I never received any written material or their so called "Welcome Kit" or any information on how to use the site.
I called after a week or so and told them I wanted to cancel because I never received any materials and they said they had sent them out for me to wait on them. I urged the man to cancel my account and was told it had been cancelled.
Yesterday, I noticed my account had been charged $15.99 from them and called once again. I was told it would be cancelled and I said I wanted email confirmation of that which was sent this time. The C/S Rep. said I would have to Email their Resolutions Department to get my refund which I also did.
Today I received a hateful email saying my request for a refund was denied because the information was sent and they had no record that I had called in wanting to cancel or that I hadn't received my Welcome Kit. They even compared it to cable service saying you have to pay even if you don't use it. What a rip-off! I never even logged into their site because I didn't understand how it all worked and I did call in, but they still refused my many emails to request my refund.
I am now going through my credit card company to get my refund... thank God for VISA checkcards! I hope this saves others the painstaking efforts I have had to go through.
