I purchased an alleged, certified, inspected pre-owned 2007 Pontiac G6 hard top convertable on November 1, 2008. On November 3, 2008 I told my salesperson Tyler that I smelled burning oil, the top leaked and the brakes were squealing and grabbing. I was told to bring the car back in when I had time. As I travel weekly via plane. At the time of financing I was told I would be given $15,200.00 trade in allowance on my car.

I brought the car back in the first of December and was told that the car needed new rotors and brakes all around, the oil pan seal was leaking and the top needed adjusting. I restated that I was told the car was certified and inspected at the time I purchased it. Josh told me that was the reason the service manager was no longer working there any longer.

Kerry inspected the car and told me that, "They", Scott Evans, could repair the brakes but they would need to take the car to Pontiac for the motor and top.

Immediately the finance manager began trying to trade me out of this car. Which I considered but they wouldn't get right on the price. The next day I spoke with them again about a Murano. We discussed the possiblity of trading in the G6 and my 2003 Dodge dually in order to lower the payment and get rid of the "lemon" car. When I first walked in the door Tyler told me that Josh said they would buy me out of the G6 for the price I paid for it to make the deal right.

While discussing the financing of the Murano, I was told that I was $8000.00 upside down on the G6. That the finance manager only applied $11,000.00 not the $15,200.00 I was told would be applied to the trade in value on my original trade and applied $4,000.00 negative equity to the G6, without telling me he did this. All documentation shows $15,200.00 trade in not $11,000.00.

Then he continued to tell me that he would only allow $17,000.00 value on a lemon that I had owned less than 30 days. That they would need my 2003 Dodge to go towards the negative equity in order to balance out the deal. Which there was no way I was going to give them 2 cars in exchange for 1 and still owe $25,000.00.

Needless to say I walked out. I called Scott Evans 5 times over a 2 day period and left messages that I was not happy with their "deal" that I was investigting the lemon laws and was looking for an attorney. I have yet to hear from him.

However, I found out that Tyler was let go the day I walked out of the showroom. Even though he only repeated what Josh told him to tell me. These people are rip offs and theives. I am follwoing up this report with reports to the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, Corporate Nissan, Dodge and allother affliates that Scott Evans represents and the local papers.

The car is in the shop at Walker Pontiac and the whole motor will have to be pulled and the top reworked and can take up to 5 days to complete. Which is falling under the Pontiac warranty and Scott Evans is walking away clear.

Scott Evans traded out the lemon car for a used 09 Murano. Although the vehicle appears to be in better shape mechanically they still left me with $4000.00 negative equity from the original deal from the lies told to me by the fianance manager.
