Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Individual going by the name of "Scott Smith" and selling "Family-safe trail horses" on the Inland Empire/Riverside,Ca craigslist site. This man can not be trusted. Sold a supposed 6 yr old geld. to us as a pre-vet checked horse that he had bred/raised on his ranch in Utah. Horse was his daughters but they had to sell because of county zoning laws after moving to CA. Told us that this horse was "sound as a dollar" and he'd stand behind all his horses", "call him with any problems"

The day we brought the horse home there were problems.... called him to say we were returning the horse. Mr Smith said to give it a few days to see if they worked out. Got my vet in and found the horse had old pelvic injuries that made him useless for trail riding, he would eventually break down. Told Mr Smith and he in turn talked with the vet to verify. Mr Smith tried to delay the return of the horse by saying he wouldn't be home but we returned the horse to his place within 2 days.

Said he didn't have our money to refund but he do it after he resold this lame horse. Mr. Smiths wife emailed me posing as a client of Mr Smiths saying she'd suposedly bought horses from him along with friends and they'd all been very happy and satified with what they'd bought and how he would "stand behind his horses". He has lied to my wife and myself since the day we purchased this horse and again stated over the phone that the horse had been vet checked prior to sale to us. He has not provided that vet's name or number. If our money isn't refunded soon he will be taken to court. Stay away from this guy for horse purchases. Another women I have had contact with was put in the hospital with a broken pelvis on a "kid broke" horse she purchased from this same individual. The horse has mental issues that weren't disclosed and is being disposed of.

Mr "Smith"...your days of being another dishonest horse trader are over.
