Sears I Paid 350.00 for a repair on a treadmill that broke immediately again and they want to charge me 570.00 just for the part to repair a little over 3 months later. Langhorne Pennsylvania
I bought a treadmill from Sears and enjoyed it for years. The belt wore out and we paid $350.00 to have it and the running board replaced. Shortly after this repair the treadmill stopped dead.
Due to the holidays and other circumstances, by the time I called Sears I had missed the 90 day warranty. The repair man returned and said that the repair part cost 500 and some dollars besides the labor charge. I called repair and asked if they could repair the part instead of replacing it and they said no (the treadmill only cost eight hundred and some in the beginning.) I then tried to get them to remove the running board and belt since it is now trash and never been used and they refused. I paid $350.00 to repair a broken treadmill.
I think that the first repair man damaged our treadmill. I have been a Sears' customer for over 25 years and have purchased all of our appliances for our home and rental property from this company. I feel violated and insulted. Please advise.
After many calls to customer service I was told that there was nothing that could be done. I find this hard to believe. Thanks for listening.
