It's to bad people are fooled into thinking that only because the thefts stopped means that this officer was responsable. I have worked for securitas for 7 years including this site. I was a supervisor when it belonged to Texas Instruments. The employees knew this officer was fired so ofcourse the the thefts stopped. Crystal Brown often "gets rid" of officers that file complaints along with the entire office staff. I can name 5 officers that have been fired for simple reasons while others keep thier job. I myself have filed complaints against the floater pool officer and NOTHING has ever been done about it. I have had to stand post well over 24 hours on 4 different occations over the last 10 months alone. When asked what action was taken against him she replys " We spoke to him and the situation has ben taken care of". Then I didnt get all my pay the next paycheck, it was spread out over 3 weeks. Can you say "Fixing the books anyone?" Last month I had not been relieved for a 36 hour shift... doesnt seem like the situation has been taken care of does it? It's a shame that such a thing goes on but with the job market the way it is what is one to do? I have sent this link to several other officers and the "Nice and understanding" Crystal Brown's true colors will come out. Several officer have even filed complaints with the Boston office because the providence office has no abitlity to do anything. I also worked with "ozzy" and let me tell you he has his favorites like everybody else. It's to bad you had to be the fall guy for our company. This was also not the first layoff this company has had and certainly not the first time things have been stolen from there. Good luck kid but you still should have known not to sign anything! I believe what you say 100% I am a current employee of Securitas and this is not the first time a person has complained about Crystal Brown. I work inside the office with her from time to time and the subject of what happened at your site has come up in conversation. Myself and other officers believe that you had nothing to do with the thefts. Often when a company does layoffs employees steal. Laying off 2500 people in the same week.... lets just say theft goes with such a thing. 2500 angry employees... Many officers would like to see her removed from the company but who do they complain to? The head of human resources... she's the problem! I would not put her in charge of a lemonade stand nevermind a large office like the one we have in Providence. We all feel your pain believe me. The corperate office has recieved complaints about her from 12 officers this year alone and nothing has been done about it. All i can say is that we all feel for you and good luck finding another job.

I worked with this ex employee. Here at this site patrol does 3 walk throughs to make sure all areas are secure. If a door that should be secure is not then we enter and check to see if all is in order we DO NOT have full run of the place ,we can access all areas but that DOES NOT mean we do. There are key points to check after the walk throughs we drive around the campus putting 15 to 20 miles on the truck. Most of the time this ex employee would sit in the back room watching moives or playing his video games between doing the walk throughs. If he stole or not I have no hard proff but it is said that he is there on more then one camera in more then one SECURED area. I have been with Securitas U.S.A. for over a year and at this site working under Chris Izzio for almost a year now. Chris is very fair he tries to work things out in a private and personal manner. Chris did warn that cameras are going to be put up through out the builds to find the theif. He also reminded all patrol officers that we are to stay in the walk areas not to enter offices or cubical area unless there is a problem. If the ex employee was seen on camera in these areas then he was wrong anyway. Crystal Brown HR for Providence office is a great woman. When I was first hired I had no car so she found sites off of the bus routes and hours that the busses run. If I needed anything work related she would get it for in a timely manner. I did lose hours at my first site and Crystal was not in the office for personal reasons and the covering HR person was also very helpful in getting me to a new site. After Crystal's return to work she called me to check and make sure that everything was ok at my new site Being the one in question by the ex employee. I started with Securitas from a friend tell how much he liked the company and it's willingness to help. Securitas also has on line training program to help their employees learn more on how to do better. We as employees, if at the right post like this one, can do that on line training on site and will be getting payed for it. Some sites offer the on line training on your off shifts and will pay you well while you learn. The more you learn and get payed the better I say. They can fire you but they can never take back what you have learned on there dollar. I also have told friends to come work for Securitas and they have, one is now a site supervisor they both have been with Securitas over a year and are also very happy with the company and all of the staff they have worked with. Also Sensata Technologies is one of the highest paying accounts and they do require that security get trianed in C.P.R. and first aid, a one day 4-6 hour course that we as employees get payed for and being full time that training is payed over time we do not pay out of pocket for the training Sensata pays for it and pay over time for us to better ourselves with something that no one can take away from us. To be able to put on a resume C.P.R and First Aid cetified is a good thing in this field. In point one person did wrong got cought DID NOT fes-up and was fired. I think if he had said yes i did it am sorry but i needed the money maybe things would have gone different for him. I know of a coulpe employees that have done wrong not theft but other things against the rules and they got a week without pay or sent to another site. I think that is more then fair for a company and the people that work for the company to do.

My name is Jackie and I am an ex employee of Securitas, I worked out of the Providence office for about a year. I must say this was one of the best jobs I have had. Reading over the above statment does not make any sense to me seeing myself and all my fellow co workers at the time were very much treated with respect and fairness. It sounds to me that the above gentlemen did something he regrets now and is trying to blame the company for his wrong doing. Remeber people we have these sites to prove companies and products that are misleading or use unethical business practices and they should not be used to rationalize your own mistakes.

Sounds like you need to get a lawyer and/or report these folks to the DOL. 1. Never sign anything without reading it. Especially if they say you won't get paid until after you do. This in itself is illegal and you should report it. 2. Have the attorney demand photographic proof that you stole anything or could have possibly done so. Ask also for the police report information as well. 3. You should fight this firing in anyway possible the theft part especially. This will follow you around the rest of your life if you let it. Pretty sure Mass is a "employee at will" state which means you can be fired for anything at anytime and with no recourse. At the very least you can have the reason you were fired corrected so that you can work elsewhere.
