I been hesitent about writing this because i know people will review this as "Bias".. I have worked here for about 5yrs now and i've seen a handful of people that felt like we are responsible for their safety & proper use of their equipment once it leaves the store aswell. I've delt with some hostile customers and some delightlful customers. You can't please everyone! FACT!
I have bent over backwards to make customers feel good about their experience here. Its not always easy to help people understand why it took so long to fix/repair their piece of equipment. We have a number on every job and we try to adhere to this as "Firts come, first served"! Things are not always perfect or without incident however, anyone that uses gas powered outdoor power equipment SHOULD have a check list before operating the equipment! It can be dangerous! We try to go over these things with customers however, some folks simply know their equipment and don't deem our advice is needed.
I've learned many things in my lifetime and this is a certain, its impossible to please everyone! Anyone that knows me, also knows i will go out of my way to offer my help and or knowledge to anyone that simply asks! I'm truely sorry these type things happen however, everything has to be inspected before operation! Imperfection in humans is what makes us unique! My humble opoligies to anyone that may have had any issues with us.. I would be happy to try and make you feel better about it!

as you clearly do not know how they operate. As soon as you run the saw the chain expands or 'come loose' due to heat of friction. It is even more drastic when there is no bar/chain oil in the unit. It's a natural occurance. And yes, you should have checked the saw before use if you are this alleged responsible person you are claiming to be. You should have seen this when you went to check the fuel and bar/chain oil. You should have also checked the chain tension just out of habit before use. The chain would never have made 4 cuts if the nut was indeed loose.
