Shammy Carwash OVER CHARGED> Bryan Texas
I had gotten my car a 2001 Honda Accord and oil change at another place earlier in the day. Oil change 29.99. But because I wanted synthetic oil they told me 16.00 more. Total price 47.63 they did a great job.
So, later in the day I had my husband's car a 1996 Honda Civic hatchback. I decided to get his oil changed too. But, since I felt his also needed a carwash, I went to Shammy Car Wash. They had their basic oil change posted as 35.95, more than the 29.99 but ok. I told them I wanted synthetic oil.
They did not tell me it would be more. But I new it was at the other place so I figured it would be here too. BUT, I didn't expect to pay 61.95 for an oil change. That means they charged me 26.00 for synthetic oil that was only 16.00 at the other place AND my car holds more oil than the Civic.
When I complained the guy told me "I should have asked the price first, we are competitive." I showed him the bill from the other place. Again was told I should have asked first.
He's right (sigh) I feel if I would have asked first the price would actually have been "competitive". The guy made me cry, and so I was left having to wait in the waiting area for my carwash to be finished crying....very embarassing but I couldn't help it, I just hate to feel I had been taken advantage of.
So folks be warned. They did not have the pricing posted and I feel thats on purpose. BE WARNED.
