I love the knock-offs at Dollar Tree

I would never spend ~$20/~$35 (with shipping) for the shamwow bundle, even though is is many items.

But I love the Handy Shammy Cloths SKU#: 164622 from Dollar Tree.

I've been looking to buy more and frustrated that I couldn't find them after visiting a couple stores and came across this ripoff report when googling.   I'm not up to spend ing $48.00 for case of 'em either.

:-(

I use em as travel towels - I can dry off with one, after a hot tub or shower and then wring it out.  Can't do that with a normal towel.  Tried using a dollar store microfiber cloth and it didn't work - it was water-phobic - not absorbent at all.

Great overpriced product

I get Shamwow knockoff's at my local Dollar Tree store. Two in the package for a dollar. I love love love them, and use them exclusively in my kitchen. I loved the first one so much, I went back and bought several more. I've heard they leave lint on your car, but they don't leave lint on my ceramic kitchen countertops, and they suck up liquid like nothing I've ever used before!
Having said that, I would never dream of paying $19.99 (plus shipping) for them from TV.
Vince Schlomo (his last name is NOT "Offer") is out to make a buck, and as much as I love this product, I would never pay twenty bucks for it.

You can get this absolutely worthless product in most DIY quarter car washes for a buck,
and it won't work there
either.
This product is utterly worthless as a means of picking up liquid when compared to almost every other absorbent material you can think of. A terry cloth towel is far more effective.

WE TRIED IT ON HER CADILLAC, MY DODGE MEGA CAB, THE MOTORCYCLE, THE WINDOWS IN THE HOUSE, THE COUNTERTOPS, THE CARPET, THE FLOORS....EVERYWHERE EXEPT TAKING IT TO THE BATHROOM TO SEE IF IT WOULD AT LEAST DO BETTER THAN TOILET PAPER!!

YOUR BETTER OFF WITH A .98 CENT ROLL OF PAPERTOWELS. WHO IS THIS IDIOT THAT STATED THAT "YOU HAVE TO DO IT THE WAY IT INSTRUCTS YOU TO'!?!THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON PAPERTOWELS!

Boy, is it ever a Sham, and Wow, does it smell like a wet dog! I'm just trying to save some people a few bucks on this junk. I saw this little mini-pack at the checkout line in the local Wal-Mart (you don't have to get raped online or over the phone, people!) for about $6, so I thought I'd try it out. Well, I bought the things to try out on "cleaning day." I have to admit that they do dry things if used as the other posts have suggested; only problem is I don't want to have to spend all d**n day waiting for these things to soak up the water off the countertops. It'd be quicker to use my wife's hairdryer to the same effect. To address my other "issue" with this product: Holy Hell, these suckers smell like old butthole when they're wet! I've washed them several times and they still smell the same. I finally understand what Vince means when he says, "You'll be saying wow every time you use 'em." I can't say he's lying about that. As for soaking stuff out of the carpet, I cannot condemn nor commend them on their performance, as I have not tried them in this context yet. Hopefully, I won't have to. All in all, I guess I would have to say that they work as advertised, but (remember, this is a criticism) for my purposes, they do not. I have found a product that does everything that ShamWow claims to do and does some of them better. Go to Samsclub.com and search for ProForce Microfiber Towels. I've been using these things for years. They come in a 24 pack for less than $10, they're scratch free, lint free, they don't stink when they get wet, they're reusable for all you hippies, and best of all: you can actually wipe up a spill instead of having to wait for the d**n ShamWow to take its sweet time to soak it up. So, yes, I can "wipe" my countertops dry; what a novel idea.

The guy in the infomercial is Vince Offer, and he owns Shamwow ( and SlapChop). Believe it or not, his products are of excellent quality(though nothing works as 100% as advertised, ever. Find me something that does work just like advertised, and I'll find some kind of flaw with it,nothing is perfect) For those of you who think "I've seen this guy somewhere before" If you all remember a few years ago(2002 - 2003 maybe) a little thing called "The Underground Comedy Movie" (billed as the most offensive movie ever), he wrote and directed(and stared in) that movie. Most people thought the movie was a worthless POS, however those few of us that LOVE offensive, pointless huor actually enjoyed the movie. You have to give Vince some credit, His funding got ruined halfway through the movie, and he went out and sold kitchen utensils at swap meets to fund the rest of his movie. Anyway, the Shamwow actually DOES work quite well. In fact almost near as well as advertised. A website did a bunch of tests with the shamwow and found it actually does work(to include the soda in the carpet. After a few "beatings it got the cola, AND the colored stain out, so regaurdless of if there was a cut or not, it works in that respect as advertised, just takes a little bit longer than he says it will). I don't work for Shamwow, nor do I even know Vince, nor have I used Shamwow yet. I just think it's unfair when people blame their own stupidity for a product not working, heres the link to the article that did all the tests. http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/technology_news/4294482.html

Take a close look at the commercial.

I cannot believe someone actually had to post about this being a rip-off. Did you notice in the commercials when the person standing there with the microphone on his head did the exercise with the carpet? There is a cut screen and the drink is no longer spilling on the floor, it is actually all gone and there is not a single drop below the carpet. This is obviously fake and something needs to be done about those stupid commercials, I am tired of seeing them.

I bought the whole set of these. I bought the buy one set get the second free of the towels and I then bought the mop, blind cleaner and car buffer ball. I love every piece and i wouldn't trade them for the world! I am in no way affiliated with ShamWow. I don't work for them and am not related to any employee. I have not been paid for this testimony. I am just an at home mom who gave away all of my other rags because I don't use anything but my ShamWow's now. **NOTE** If you use them right...they work well. If you lay the rag over the water it'll suck up every last drop, not push it around and they even work wet. Everything the infomercial says is TRUE! This is not hype. The ONLY negative thing I have to say about these products is that the mop handle is chintzy, so don't push down too hard or it'll bend. It's just made of aluminum or some other soft metal. Other than than, I've reccommended these to everyone I know and let my mom try them and she bought the whole set as well and she is the QUEEN of "Infomercials are crap". She saw and she believed. You just can't sweep a liquid mess off of the surface. You have to let them absorb it; which they will do quickly if properly used : )
