Complaint Review: Shawna Crosby Owner Puakanti Wellness Center - Hurricane Utah

I love Shawna. I would run through walls for her. I would do this because I know she feels the same -- about me and about all the people she has crossed paths with.

What I know of the business is what she has told me. She pulled no punches. She pointed out where she thought she might have gone wrong.

My impression: She was taken advantage of in a manner that often happens when a wolf in sheep's clothing infiltrates, then devours.

I don't know what agenda is at work here on the part of the person who filed this, but clearly this is a person who doesn't truly know her or chose to be cynical about the many trials and tribulations she has weathered. I'm guessing a little of both.

She will come through this. The sun always shines on Shawna.

I can see by the other posts that i am not the only person disgusted by this article. Defending her honor with a list of the great thing she has done against this article would be tossing pearls before swine. The good that is in Shawna out weighs any 10 random people any day. Her love for others and desire to help them caused her to do things for strangers most people would not do her their family.

As i spoke with her over the last few years, I did not see her just focused on a success of a business, but rather saw her focused on the success of individuals that  needed help; help she was willing to and wanted to give.  Seeing her randomly over the last few months i saw the weight of her business troubles tearing her down. The last time i saw her, i saw a friend broken; and had a feeling then, id never see her again,... and since have not. I miss my friend, and Im sure, im not the only one.

I just can't believe what was said and suggested in this ripoff report!

These are not all the facts and really represent only a few of the many opinions and pieces to this puzzle.

I was a patient at puakanti and the value of the program is apparent to any who have been blessed with the opportunity to stay. This is a quality program which has been of tremendous value to me personally!

As to Shawna herself, it is my opinion that she is energetic and a willing and sacraficial leader! She didn't just sit in an office somewhere and push papers around while collecting money! No! She was there, onsite, leading the treatment team every day! She worked hard herself; physically and mentally.

I say she is a leader, and Puakanti is amoung the best treatment programs offered anywhere!

As to the other members of this team, they are all the best! I do know that Shawna would never set things up to fail on purpose. She had to have cause to expect the money to pay everyone to be there.

So, what happened to the money? I don't know. I had been told that she had a private backer who was providing the diference between the tuition and the actual cost.

What happened there, who was this person? Did they remain annonymous so as to set up Shawna?

All that is done in darkness will one day be seen in full light. I believe that Shawna Crosby is a victim here and should be sueing for defamation of character!

My heart is broken after reading this report.  Shawna Crosby has been a dear friend of mine for many years.  She has devoted
her entire life to helping people heal from trauma.  I am a better person for knowing and having the opportunity to work with Shawna. 

There is no other person more capable of running a wellness program than Shawna Crosby.  Her huge heart and attention to detail are what made Puakanti such a huge success.  It's truly devastating that one person had the power to destroy something so great.  Something that had the potential to help so many other individuals.

Shawna Crosby IS NOT a con artist!  She did everything possible to ensure Puakanti's success, but unfortunately was ripped off by a former guest which came through the program for free.  Had this guest paid for her stay at Puakanti, the staff would have been paid for their time and efforts to help this individual.  Clearly you learned nothing from your free stay. 

I am deeply saddened that you would stoop to such a low level by including information about Shawna's personal life experiences.  You should be ashamed of yourself!

Shawna is an incredibly strong person and will learn and heal from this
experience.  I'm not sure I can say the same thing for you. 

I was sick to my stomach after reading this report about Shawna Crosby and I have a few things that should be said. First and foremost she is not a rip off artist by any means off the word!! This is a womAn who has done everything she can to help others get through the pain of abuse! My life has been changed for the better because of Shawna!

As to the comment about being raped and not being able to be a virgin, how can you even ask that?! You can absolutely be raped and still be a virgin. Anyone with an ounce of compassion would understand that Rape is an act of violence. If I go by what you say then I guess I lost my virginity at the age of 4! 

Puakanti Wellness Center had the potential to change so many lives for the better and because a few people got greedy and were dishonest about their ability to invest (You know who you are!) you have taken away the amazing GIFT healing for so many people. I know Shawna was devastated by what happened and feels like she let so many people down but I also hope that Shawna can sleep at night knowing that she did help so many people and change many lives!

I can't say the same for the person who wrote this complaint for no other reason than to be malicious!
