SHB Enterprises Sells cheap R/C helicoptors that break immediately, and offer no refund. San Antonio, Texas
SHB Enterprises operates at least one of the kiosks in North Star Mall in San Antonio that sells the radio control (R/C) helicopters that are so popular right now. There are more than one such kiosk at that mall, but I don't know if both are operated by SHB Enterprises.
The helicopter I bought is a cheaply made produced from China. The first problem with it was that the radio transmitter had a battery door that could not be opened at all. I took apart that transmitter to find that the chinese person who had soldered the battery wires had dripped solder onto the screw that holds the battery door closed. What kind of quality control is that?! So I had to heat up my soldering iron just to melt the solder... and that let me open the battery door of the radio transmitter.
After that, the helicopter did fly...... for a few rounds. The first time I crashed, one of the motors stopped working. The motor itself was working, as I tested it by unplugging it and plugging it into a different power outlet on the heli's motherboard, and it worked. So, the motherboard simply wasn't sending electricity to that motor.
I took it back to the kiosk at North Start Mall and the young guy working there looked at it, didn't find any easily fixable physical defects like a broken blade or broken shell, so he gave up. He said he couldn't fix it. I asked for a refund and he refused.
I asked him why the sell products for $150 (that's what it cost me) that break within 10 minutes of use. His words to me were, "things break."
Stay clear of this company; they sell cheaply-made chinese products at a steep price, that will break very soon, wasting your money. They don't care about customer satisfaction, but only about making an easy sell.
