I hired Sheds for All Tex / Competitive Sheds to build a cabin for me.  I met with Dante Villarreal AKA George and his construction manager Raymond at their office located at 228 E. 27TH St. Houston, Texas 77008.

I hired this company because they said they could build the cabin, do the plumbing, electrical and all finish work without bringing in sub-contractors for one price.

Almost from the beginning this project was a disaster.

Plumbing:

There were no vents installed for the toilet, shower, vanity, kitchen sink, or washing machine.  Wrong sized pipes were used, pipes were installed running uphill.  The end result was that the pipes would not drain and sewage gas would have been released into the cabin.  I had to hire a plumber to completely re-work the plumbing and install the proper vents.

Electrical:

Wrong wires were used to wire fixtures.  In some cases, two different wires were run into the same fixture.  All kitchen outlets were put on one circuit.  Wrong wire run to range so range would not heat properly.  No power run to A/C.  The results were fire hazards, over taxed breakers and appliances that would not work.

Roof

First, we agreed to install a black architectural roof on my cabin.  Sheds for All Tex installed both black and brown shingles on the roof.  At no time did we discuss using two colors of shingles on my roof.  In addition, there were numerous exposed nails, the vent on the roof was installed wrong, flashing was not terminated properly and the list goes on.  The net result was that my brand new roof was LEAKING within two weeks and I had to completely replace the roof.  The contractor who installed the new roof said it was one of the worst roofing installations he had ever seen.

Hardi Plank Siding

The Hardi Plank siding is coming loose, was not caulked and it appears that joint flashing was not used.  The siding was clearly not installed correctly according to the installation instructions.

Framing/Construction:

Walls are not plumb, sheetrock was not completed

In addition to the issue above, when I attempted to address these issues with George he pulled his crew off the job and stopped communicating with me.  To date, he has yet to answer a certified letter I sent him outlining these issues.

Sheds for all is the reason the Deceptive Trade Practices Act exists.
