I stayed at the Sheraton Orlando North in Maitland, Florida. I had made reservations for our basketball team. The reservation included a basic room at a rate of $59.00 plus tax a night. I held the rooms with my credit card. The day I checked out I paid my bill in cash with a zero balance. I kept copies of all the transactions that I had made with the Sheraton because I had a feeling there was going to be problems. The front desk clerk spoke very little English and they had messed up our reservations upon check-in.

The following month I received my visa statement with a $59.00 charge. I have been discussing very nicely with the Sheraton and every employee that can speak English about this charge taken off my bill and I have documents to prove I paid cash for every night I stayed at this hotel. I have been told that I had a Jaccuzzi room which I did not and that I made reservations through another company which I did not. Has anybody else had this problem and what did you do to resovle it.

Kathy is on the right tack. You hould contact the Corporate offices for Sheraton, which in STARWOOD. Uner normal circumstances this would ve yor best bet BUT, this hotel has been kicked out of the Sherton system and I dont know if Starwood/Sheraton ill be able tohelp you. What you can do is call the hotel directly ad speak with the General Manager. If you can answer a few questions, it would help point you in the right direction. 1: How did you make your reservation ? directly with the hotel ? over the internet ? 2: Did you mak the reservation with their sales department, if so whom did you speak with. 3: Did you reciev a confirmation prior to your arrival?. You mentioned you have a receipt so that should be enough to go on unless you had multiple reservations. You best bet is to deal with the hotel directly and you can start with the Front Office Manager. If that person cant help, go to the G.M. This hotel is operated by a management company.

Call the Sheraton Headquarters/corporate office to get your money refunded. Hotels have some of the sleaziest people managing it, and speaking nicely gets you no where. I worked in them for years at the front desk. As I been telling everyone with complaints on hotels-about charges I always pay the hotels cash.I strive to make that 6 p m arrival. and I use my cell phone-the hotel phones are rip off. If the reservation demands a credit card-I use my secondary visa debit card-an account I only keep ten dollars in. Realize if you do go this route-you cannot use that same account on check-in. When you make a reservation, they do not run an approval-but when you check in-they do.
