I took my vehicle in for repairs and was told they were done.  They were not and I had to take it to another mechanic for proper repair.

On February 2013, I took the car in to have some oil leaks fixed and was told it was the valve covers, gaskets, hoses, etc.  That was over $1,500.  There was still a leak so I took it back and Jeff said it was a clamp and he fixed it.  Then I was told it needed  However, the oil leaks never stopped.  I was also told that the idler pulley and belts needed to be replaced.  That was another $489.72.  When I got home the day that was done, April 16, 2013, I parked my car and went out later drive it and all the coolant had poured out onto my parking pad.  Jeff came down and said he had not tightened a cap properly and did that and refilled it.  A week later, I had no coolant again.  I was told it still had a leak so I brought it back in and was told that it was the timing chain cover that was cracked or the timing chain gasket.  Jeff said he could not fix it because "his boss wouldn't cover" him to do the work and that i would have to take it to a foreign car specialist.  My serpentine belt and the drive belt squeaked CONSTANTLY and the car ran horribly.  The AC air goes tepid and then cold and back again and the coolant is getting lower every day.  Jeff's solution was for me to bring it in every week and let him fill up the oil and other fluids.  That is not what I spent over $2,000 for!

I took it to Alfred at 167 Imports and he has inspected the car.  He has told  me it is not safe to drive.  He said it is NOT the timing chain cover.  He said that the pulley work will have to be redone; the oil leaks that the oil leaks were STILL the real problem, were right in the front of the engine, and should have been found in the first place.

I am not disputing the work done on the window motor or the wiper blades, or the headlight.  I am not sure what the charge that says "Remove and Replace Power Do" means, but I am assuming that has to do with the window.

On May 11, 2013, I was checking the coolant and oil and noticed the belted seemed off center.  I barely touched it and it popped off like a rubber band in my driveway because it was so completely saturated with oil and coolant and possibly incorrectly installed.  If it had come off while I was driving it, I would not have been able to control the car.  Luckily, I was not driving it because Alfred at 167 Imports told me it was unsafe to drive and that Express should have never allowed me to drive it from their garage.  I repeatedly contacted Mr. Allen Buckler about all of this but was not able to resolve the matter.  I gave them Alfred's contact information so they could verify the work he did and what he found.  Someone from his place of business called Alfred and was extremely rude to him and very unprofessional.  He told them they could not ease their conscience by griping at him and that they needed to work it out with me.

However, I am disputing the rest of the charges and asking for a refund in the amount of $899.03 from the original $1,519.30 2/25/2013 invoice and the entire $489.70 from the 4/16/2013 invoice, for a total of $1,388.36. Alfred at 167 Imports fixed the oil , which was an additional $1,387.27.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:

I want a refund in the amount of $1,388.36

That is a completely incorrect synopsis of what happened and misinterpretation of what I was told!  I reject this response as untrue and incorrect.

What I was, in fact, told was that they start from the top because "it is cheaper."  That is a direct quote.  Nothing was EVER said about oil running down.  I was also assured that the oil leaks were fixed.  I was not notified about the additional leaks until I took the car in to have the serpentine belt replaced because the mechanic told me that it had hairline cracks in it and it would be better to replace it, rather than waiting until it broke.

At that time, he noticed oil shooting up from a small hose at the top and told me to bring it back in a few days and he could fix that, no problem and that it wasn't a big deal.

Again, I went in to have the oil leaks fixed. I was told they were fixed.  I spent over $2,000.  The mechanic who did, finally, fix them, did it for about the same amount as I was charged for no result at all and it has not leaked oil since.
