I never open junk mail but noticed a single folded sealed piece from Shopper's Advantage with "UPCOMING CHARGE FOR RENEWAL" printed on the front. I called the company and a representative, Eric, informed me that I cashed a promotional offer check of $9.25 in July of 2008 with the option of cancelling services in 30 days. I told him my wife and I NEVER cash these check offers and asked him the charges to our card. Bi-annual charges of $59.99 totaling $359 have been applied. I expressed that this was not the case and demanded reimbursement. He said he would cancel the account and refund the last two charges totaling $119.98 to our card. I allowed this action but expressed dissatisfaction. He transferred the call to the next level supervisor.
Supervisor, Bryson Watson, was given the information and asked to check the card charges but said card information was incrypted and he had no access. He checked my account which showed no activity over the two years of alleged service. I told him we would never sign up for a service we never intended to use and all unauthorized fees should be refunded to our account and I would call the Better Business Bureau. He tranferred the call to the office of the president where I was told to leave a message. Check your junk mail and your monthly accounts carefully!!!
