On December 23, 2008 I went into Honda dealership because of the promotion of $199 per month for a Honda Accord. I still had 2 months left on my present lease. We agreed with a handshake that I would pay $249 per month tax included in price and a total of $1,300 for fees and down payment.I had to pick up this vehicle before 12/31/08 to get this price. They called me constantly to come pick up vehicle. Meantime I was suffering from the flu. I made arrangements to pick up the car on 12/30/08 at 6 pm.

When I got there they made me wait for 1 hour and was told to meet with the finance manager (Simon) He told me that the $249 price was without the tax included monthly and that would bring my cost to $274 per month with a very restrictd lease. He then convinced me to get the better lease for $299 per month with tax included on the monthly payment. Much more than I wanted to pay, I agreed because I already transferre insurance.

Waited another 2 hours (with fever). Told to sign the receipt for fees and I ran out without seeing what I was charged for. (stupid me)

The next morning I looked over my paperwork and saw that they charged me $900 tax. Our agreement was that tax was included in my monthly payments. I called immediately that morning and was told Simon was not in (12/31/08) but would be in 1/1/09. I went in but Simon was a no show and was told he would be in Friday 1/2/09.

Again a no show Finally I met with him on Saturday 1/3/09 (after waiting 1 hour). He dismissed me saying that the $900 was fees when my lease stated it was for taxes. He & the manager, Frank Leone told me that I signed the paper so I had no recourse.

On Friday, January 5th they promised to send me a partial refund ($250). Not what I wanted but I agreed.

As of today February 13, 2009 I have not received a penny. Yesterdays, paper they advertised the Accord LX-P for $249 monthly and $750?? at signing.

These people are liars and thieves. I feel that I was overcharged by $900.
