Pete Mckeown and sidekicks are theives!  I worked for them recently and all they do is make promises and never pay there workers.  They asked me several times to help save there asses by going up north over 1.5 hours from my home to do work.  They promised to pay for fuel as well as pay me extra for helping them out.  It has been several months and i still have not been paid.  Not only for those jobs, but countless others.

I have tried to contact Pete many times and he refuses to return my calls or emails.  I spoke to his assistant Mike Kitajima who covers for Pete and is no help.  Sidekicks and Pete gave me hope that i could make a living and take care of my family and alls they did was hurt me.  I spent lots of money out of my pocket for fuel driving everywhere, and they didnt pay me.  I wish all the banks would take work away from these scam artists so they stop hurting people.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, February 07, 2012

I agree with the complainant.  The response who says that the complaint was ill-written with bad grammar and spelling should be ashamed.  If you are being paid by Sidekicks, then you are Pete or Allan because nobody else gets paid.  Sidekicks is a small company formed by the owners of Reliance with their friend, Pete McKeown and they take advantage of people who are down on their luck by promising them good work and good pay, but all you get is the work, not the pay.  I know.  I worked for them.  Actually, I signed up, my son and his wife did the work, and they found every excuse to not pay us.  I have finally gone to the wage and hour board for the State of Colorado and will pursue it there.  And, Mr. McKeown, my grammar and spelling are correct.  So, you need to find some other reason to say I don't deserve to be paid.  It make take some time, but I am not helpless and I am not afraid to ask how to rectify the mistake of working for Sidekicks.

Ripoff preservation contractors love to use the excuse that we will pay you when the banks pays us.
The preservation company recieves a order from a bank, and assigns it to you, you accept. You work for the preservation company, not the bank. The preservation company owes you, it is their problem to collect fron the bank.
Do not let these people steal from you. They asked you to do the work, they owe you the money. These thieves are pocketing huge money from the banks and are robbing you.  Sidekicks LLC. was trying to get people in Colorado to do occupancy inspections for $3. The bank pays them $12-$15, AND THEY ARE NOT BUYING ANY GAS.  The guy doing the work pays all the expenses and gets the least money. Do not work for these thieves.

The previous report was most likely written by a man speaking out of bitterness. Sidekicks is an honest company that treats its staff and workers with respect and compensates them fairly. I am a current field representative and am speaking from first-hand experience. The turn-around time for payment in this business is sometimes very slow, particularly because of the number of different departments and people that each work order must go through before being fully processed. Therefore, as a field rep, I understand (and have been made aware in advance) that it may take some time to receive payment, especially on large work orders. HOWEVER, I ALWAYS GET PAID. And if there are any discrepancies regarding payment, the staff at Sidekicks is quick to dispute the issues with their clients. In the past, I have been sent to re-do certain botched jobs that were not 100% fulfilled by a previous field representative. It is CLEAR that some field reps do not do a satisfactory job and leave poor results, which are ultimately rejected by the banks. IT IS NOT A MYSTERY WHY CERTAIN PEOPLE DO NOT GET PAID. Simply put: if you do the work and do it WELL, you WILL get paid. However, if you are lazy and do not complete the work order as instructed, there may be a delay in (or lack of) payment. Whoever wrote the previous complaint was probably this type of worker--there is no reason why Sidekicks would with hold payment that was legitimately earned. And can you really take the author's complaint seriously? There are spelling and grammatical errors throughout his entire post!
