Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Silver Eagle Auto mall showed us the Volkswagen 2003 Passat car , We wanted to get it Inspected by Firestone . We took the car and did 20 point checks. It came to light that the heater is not working , one of the tyre has nails in it , front half bumper was ripped off , dashboard was stuck., there was an Oil leak.

We asked them to fix the heater, bumper and Tyre. First they agreed to fix it .. later they dicussed amoung themselves and came back and told they can reduce 200 dollars but wont fix anything .. We have to fix by ourselves. We agreed for that and finished all the formalities.

After we bought the car , the same day  car didnt start . We called the dealer and asked him to come . Had to jumpstart the car and then only it started. he said the batteries are working fine, but actually battery was aslo dead.

Next day we got the battery checked at Firestone but the battery was gone, We spent extra 150 dollar snd got new battery. But at firestone we gotto know that the shaft was gone or wornout. We spent an extra 300 dollars to fix the shaft.

The heater was the major concern as we came to know that that has been tampered with heater , it was disconnected and only Air conditioner was working. There was a hole in the heater pipes and it was disconnected. They lied to us and didnt tell us about this at all!!.

Its costing me another 1200 dollars to fix the heater. When we called them back about it, they did not help us in getting fixed rather they were rude and said they can get it inspected vehicle at their local gurage.. you think we are faking?!? They didnt not help in any ways ,..

This is the Wrong place to buy cars . These people will lie to you and the car parts will be tempered and wouldnt have told anything about it !!.. This place is big NOOOO to people who want to BUY cars!!!!

Ken:

That shaft is only visible if the car has bad breaks especially if that bad break is in front of the "A" pillar.  I am sure you'll agree there are more problems here than what has so far been found.  For example, the transmixer may have shorted out.  Some dealers have been known to use rebuilt windshields.  There is also the possibility the oil reservoirs which supply the muffler bearings sound as if they are dry and perhaps this owner should be sure the cadillac converter is still converting.

Ken

Colorado,
You got $200 off the price of the car....

and agreed to fix it yourselves...in other words you bought it "As-Is"  That means YOU fix all problems you encounter...right?

How is this a Ripoff?

"Next day we got the battery checked at Firestone but the battery was gone, We spent extra 150 dollar snd got new battery. But at firestone we gotto know that the shaft was gone or wornout. We spent an extra 300 dollars to fix the shaft."

What part of the battery has a shaft?

"front half bumper was ripped off , dashboard was stuck., there was an Oil leak."

Did all these things develop AFTER your walk around inspection and test drive?

What is a "stuck dashboard?"
