First this company does not try to get you home at anytime. They will not contact you on your home landline, there whole office staff is very disrespectful towards drivers. 1) they will expect you to pay for parking for the truck when you go home, they will subtract unloaded miles from your last drop off to your parking location from your pay. If some rookie backs a trailer into your truck while parked at these busy truck stops while your on home time Silvicom will hold you responsible by taking out of your pay in several hundreds dollars deductions each pay statement. They will mask your unpaid earnings by not emailing you your weekly earnings settlements/statement. Did I mention they will not pay for your truck to be parked for your earned home time. 2) it is almost impossible for any trucking company to get you home on a specific date of your liking, the point is Silvicom won't even try they don't care if it's a doctor's appointment a death in the family. They just don't care about you the driver. They are more concerned about amassing more new trucks and equipment and retaining the office staff that is conditioned to preform illegal labor law practice. Silvicom has kept me on the road for 9 weeks against my wishes with the excuse they can not find a load to my home los Angeles, this happened to me because I have no problem staying out 5-6 weeks with 10 days off. As far as preventative maintenance they have in house mechanic that does decent work, you will not get detention pay for maintenance in Melrose park which is average 3-5 days stuck in Melrose park. With no shower. You will be treated like you are responsible for the pm. Shockingly they will put a deduction in your pay statement for the maintenance, then call it a mistake. They will partially pay you back weeks later after you got jacked. Any receipts for washer fluid coolant cat scale will not be reimbursed. They will refuse to fix pricey engine problems in an effort to keep you running and continue stealing from you so they can buy new trucks dupe someone else get rid of you without pay or a ride home after you quit. They will use the excuse you damaged the truck I personally put 400,000 miles on a Silvicom truck and was told I would not get my last two weeks pay for 45 days as they will find any excuse to jack you the hardest when you quit.

First off I wpould like to say that I have been working for Silvicom for over 4 years and I have never had to expirience any problems. They have always paid me on time, never riped me off in any shape or form. It's really irritating me that people have put reports against a company that I work for and have worked for, and over all this time I have not had any problems with and don't know anyone else who has had any problems.
They treat employs woith respect and try to keep their drivers happy and get them home when they need to be home. Like all other companies they are in the business to make money so if you're one of those guys who drives 1000 miles for four days and spends his time on the truck stop and sleeping than maybe trucking is not for you period. Most of the people that are on the road are there to make money not have the truck be their personal mobile home for them to travel the contry and enjoy the view at someone elsle's expense.
I don't know how anyone can put your life in danger when as a truck driver you are the one behind the wheel and you know how much you can drive.
Silvicom is a great company to work for and their pay is amongs the highest in the industry.
Hope this is helful
