Simple H2O Sold me malfunctioning products, original and replacement, both failed for total of 5X's, poor servicing, refused request to remove/reimburse Internet Ottawa, Ontario Canada
On December 2, 2009, a high power door-to-door salesman out of an Ottawa head office sold me Reverse Osmosis Purification System for $3,198.00, stating but not limited to the following: [1] Simple H2O was planning to establish local service depot; [2] when it was established the price would go up to $4,198.00; [3] there would be local 24 hour servicing available.
I had occasion to call the serviceman twice for pressure valve malfunction, with satisfatory response. On a third occasion, again pressure valve malfunction, the serviceman was diverted to servicing in the Ottawa area and was not available for two [if memory serves correctly] days. On a fourth occasion involving a leak I was advised the serviceman was not longer in Simple H2O employ and servicing was from Ottawa, with a delay in receiving required attention.
At this point I was totally disenchanted with the system and requested it be removed from my home and I be reimbursed. In talking to a representative in Ottawa I reiterating my request for removal/reimbursement, that person persuaded me to allow Simple H2O to install a replacement unit. I objected, but eventually agreed, stating that if there were any further malfunctions I would expect removal/reimbursement. There was no objection, indeed the person said he would personally go to bat for me if future failure should arise, and I assumed we had a verbal agreement.
On March 4th, 2010, the replacement unit was installed. On March 18th, 2010, I discovered a fifth malfunction, the unit leaking under my sink. From March 18th to May 1st, 2010, after three emails; one completed phone call, two answering-machine-no-response phone calls, one phone contact with a secretary; and evasions I received a phone call that two technicians were on their way to New Liskeard to service the unit. In all completed contacts I reiterated my request for removal/reimbursement.
I refused permission for the servicemen to enter my home for further servicing; I would allow them in only to remove the unit. This option was refused by H2O, and to date I am left with a piece of junk [to me] sitting under my sink taking up space I could more profitably put to other use.
