We are sorry that Patrick did not contact us to cancel during the trial period and was thus converted to a pre-paid account. However, we do not hide our terms or have deceptive terms. Our terms are very clear and easy-to-understand. We also make it very easy to contact us in the event the customer wants to cancel during the trial. We give very clear instructions on how to contact us and how to cancel. In addition to these direct instructions and links there are also multiple other ways to contact us. All of these ways are very clear and easy-to-find on our website. Understanding our Terms and How to Contact Us: We provide a $1 trial which automatically converts to a 1 year pre-paid plan at the end of the 14 day trial period. If the customer does not want to be charged for the pre-paid plan they need to contact us and cancel within the trial period. Our Sign Up Page Makes These Terms Very Clear: 1. The sign up page has a checkbox that the customer is required to check in order to submit the form. That check box states "Yes I am a serious online entrepreneur and wish to sign up for the Simple Money Machines TWO WEEK $1 trial and understand that if I do not cancel during the trial, I will be charged for the service." 2. The sign up page also has a link to our Terms of Service, part of which reads: "Please note: You MUST cancel your trial membership during the trial period if you do not want to be switched to a pre-paid plan. We can not issue refunds on any pre-paid amounts for plans cancelled after the trial period expires. " Thank You Page and Email Sent on Sign Up: Once you sign up you are returned a thank you page reminding you of your login and password and giving you a link to enter our member's area. The customer is also sent an email with this information and reminding them of the terms they agreed to and how to contact us: "Simple Money Machines is here to support you as you build your online income. Should you need us, please contact us through the CUSTOMER SUPPORT tab at the top of each page on the site. ... Your account will be automatically converted to a paid plan and charged to your credit card after your trial period. If you do not wish to continue your subscription after the trial period, simply cancel your account before your trial period ends." Member's Area: Once in our member's section you can review the terms of agreement and read specifically how to contact us in the event you need to cancel: "Termination by Member. Member may cancel your Member Account or any part of the Service at any time. To cancel your Service, Member must submit a trouble ticket via the Customer Support tab so that it is tracked properly. Please note: You MUST cancel your trial membership during the trial period if you do not want to be switched to a pre-paid plan. We can not issue refunds on any pre-paid amounts for plans cancelled after the trial period expires. " Contacting Us is Easy: We do not make it difficult to contact us. Our public site has a link to 'contact us' on the bottom of every page. That page provides a direct email address for pre-sales questions and also a link for member's to log into their account. From the login page, if the person does not remember their log in information, they can enter their email address to have their password sent to them and we also have an email address to directly email technical support. Once you log into your account there is a very large 'Contact Support' tab on the top of every page. This page states: To Cancel Your Account: Please file a ticket via our ticket system below or send an email to [email protected]. Customers can then either use the email address directly or send a billing ticket. Our member's area also contains links to our Member's Agreement, Terms and Privacy Policy. All of which have our contact information (mailing address, email address, phone number and fax) listed. As an aside, Patrick is still a customer of Simple Money Machines.
