This restaurant has shady business practices. I along with 4 others were charged a greated amount than the final bill (including tip). I thought it may have been a mistake until I found out that more and more people were getting swindled. When I called to ask them about the charge the next morning after the previous day's outing, they told me that my bank was responsible for this. LIES. Never has this ever happened to me and so many people. I am disappointed and disgusted at these awful business practices.

Dear Deborah, Thank you for dining in Singapore Bistro. I do not like your groundless accusation. You should know in America, people, including humble restaurant servers, are innocent until proven guilty. Every few months I have an angry customer who claims to be overcharged. I always tell them to bring me proof (the credit card monthly statement, not the "online activities" the day after dining) and I will refund the FULL amount, not the just overcharged part. I often offer another free meal in addition. So far the angry customers have been always wrong (sorry, that customer is always right does not hold here). For what it's worth, the amount you see online is what credit card industry call "authorized amount" (or "hold amount"), which equals the merchant's actual charge if no adjustment is expected later on (e.g., you buy in sears or fast food). If you rent a car, you can check online and see how much you are "frauded" or "ripped-off", because they expect adjustments - you may return the car late or not full tank of gas. Sitdown-order restaurants like us expect tip adjustments and hold a little more than the check. my angry customers always say "other restaurants do not have this practice, only you". THAT IS NOT TRUE. my neighbor Italian restaurant got calls just like me. Having said that, servers do make mistakes occasionally, but this is not your case. I would like you to UPDATE your report or submit us your proof (the creditcard statement, you may mask other irrelavent transactions, not online "recent activities). If you do neither, then I win by default. And I will post an update. I also reserve the right to take legal actions against you for any damage you made to our reputation.
