Today after checking my bank statements, I realized SiriusXM has been charging my bank account twice a month at $14.49. I called the company to seek reimbursement for the overcharge (Sept 2011 - 2013) and they refuse to refund me. I've been ripoffed for $14.49 x 24 = $347.76. I've never had two accounts and do not understand how I could be charged twice and told I would not be reimbursed.

I never said I dont check my bank account. I noticed the back to back charge thats processing today. How is it legal to charge me for services I did not use?!?!?!?! An account that was never used?

SiriusXM does cross the line in marketing and billing, but this one is on you

I don't like the way SiriusXM does their marketing and billing either, especially their automatic start service when you never ordered it (placed on new vehicles) and an auto renewal service plus extreme difficulty in cancelling their unauthorized service.

Having said the above, I find it incredible that you went more than two years before you checked your bank account. Not checking your bank account debits and credits regularly is irresponsible. It is your obligation to check your bank accounts at least once a month and reconcile the account with your register so you have an accurate balance at all times. No wonder they aren't refunding for the past two years. They had their hand in your pocket and you never said anything until now!

How do you know that other vendors aren't doing the same thing to you? There are many services that have a mandatory auto renewal clause in their terms and conditions when you sign up for their service or buy a product online and they count on you and others like you to not notice that $X is being withdrawn every month. Only you know what should be coming out of your account, that's why you have to check it at least once a month.
