Complaint Review: sitsold.com - Roswell Georgia

 Carlton Wayne Dunko, Richard Steffy and Frank Pureber of American Shingle are low life scum bags who are on to the next Ponzi Scheme in any field that you can possibly imagine. He took homeowners money and took advantage of the elderly & forged their signatures with some of the insurance adjusters in 11 states. Don't think that your insurance company is innocent; some of them were in with these schemes as well. Some of the adjuster were taking moneys and splitting it with this creep and his henchmen. He is now in Florida with NBRC Construction in Tampa Florida where he is also cheating homeowners in the roof business again; I guess he has a good lawyer or it is payola wherever he goes to the District Attorneys and they are accepting money to not press charges and he gets away scot free. I saw the monster on twitter ; the new company is Gallant service consulting Tampa, Florida. This guy is one shady looking dude probably on drugs. He will get his comeuppance for cheating homeowners and the elderly.

I think the scariest part is that Mr. Dunko is using another alias name, to run the SAME TYPE of company in the Tampa Bay  , just recently opened up, and they do the exact same thing as  American Shingle did, is he allowed to be operating this type of business again ? and no , its not called sitsold, although their base is Atlanta, GA is questionable as well

Mike (apparently now wants to be called Michael) Harris is as big a crook and should be indicted along with Dunko. he was the person responsible for expanding the American Shingle business. He is personally responsible for employees loss of wages, failure of expense reimbursements, payroll changes and various other responsibilities directly relating to infrastructure of AS.

Once he, Dunko and other top executives in the company realized without a benchmark of 2,000 sales per location per week was not attainable, Mike and Dunko began planning their exit strategy by creating this sitsold consulting company together. Do not let Mike Harris fool you into beleiving he created this "spinoff" company on his own. He and Dunko are good friends and while Dunko may not be on any paperwork with the new company, he is certainly involved.

Mike Harris, how can you look in the mirror everyday and believe you had no involvement with thousands of people losing their insurance money???! What you and the other idiots didn't realize about massive insurance payouts is it raises EVERYONE'S insurance rates nationwide! You don't really care though do you? You're now taking enough money from another segment of the roofing business to cover the increase in insurance rates.

I would like to close with this. I was very angry for several months after me and my staff's sudden closure but now realize things happen for a reason. The brief experience with you (Mike Harris) and American Shingle has made me more aware of liars, cheaters and crooks. I pray your kids don't grow up to be like you. You are a disgrace to the miltary, your kid(s) and most importantly, yourself. Wake up Mike and do something reputable today.

Micheal Harris may be listed as the sole owner but that is just a cover, Dunko is most certainly behind this company.  You will find the leads suck and they will only take your money.  Of course Dwayne is not on any goverment paper relating to this company, he is under indictment for ripping off over 6000 homeowners who will never get thier roof put on by American Shingle, Dunko kept taking checks from homeowners even when he was well aware of his companies inevitable collapse.

A bunch of lying scumbags stay away from them.

I can tell you from personal experience and intimate knowledge that Dwayne Dunko certainly has his hand in on this.  Sit sold was what they referred to a sale with American Shingle.  The leads you will find suck at the very least.  They used the same tactics at American Shingle when they told the salesmen they had leads.  You would show up at the persons home and the homeowner would say " I told them not to come out" or " Itried to cancel the appoinment but noone would answer th phone"  savve your money.  These guys are as crooked as it gets, they do not care for anyone but themselves which is evident by the charges standing against Dunko.  Don't walk away from these guys, RUN as fast as you can.

And all Sitsold.com is selling is the software they used while they were doing business as American Shingle.  It should be illegal for you to profit off anything to do with American Shingle.  Why dont you give your former customers their money back or pay your employees?  Greedy Scumbag

I have personal knowledge of American Shingle, Local Referral Service, and Sitsold.com.  They are all complete scams.  How dare you come across so indignant?  You are involved in one of the largest scams in the country.  You are quick to criticize the picture of Dewayne and his family but show no remorse whatsoever at the thousands of people you guys took advantage of.  The way you did business as American Shingle should have landed you all in jail.  Instead, new offspring company's are springing up in all of his buddies names.  The same dirtbags are still responsible.  They stole MILLIONS from elderly citizens.  Once shut down they tried opening up a referral service.  How's that going for you guys? Probably not too well now that everyone knows that LRS is affiliated w/ the former American Shingle Scumbags.  If things are going well, then why have you failed to pay your employees?!?!?!?!?!?!?  Sitsold.com is the last ditch effort to pad the pockets of absolute thieving scum.  Im sure you'll try to pawn me off as an uninformed outsider and i dare you.  I'll post your cell # and the name of every employee you've failed to pay.  GO AWAY THIEVES AND QUIT STEALING FROM HONEST HARDWORKING AMERICANS.  YOUR COMPANY WILL BE BANKRUPT SOON IF IT IS NOT ALREADY BUT THEN YOU"LL HAVE A NEW SCAM.  Mike is a joke

My company has very recently done business with SitSold.com.  They are a very reputable, hardworking group of individuals and we have had excellent results so far . . . they came out and trained our people, their software is genius, and we have absolutely no complaints. 

Mike Harris IS indeed the CEO and runs the company . . . and whoever he used for consulting at the beginning stages has nothing to do with his ethics or the way he runs the business!  They have done everything they said they were going to do and then some.  Plus, they are not roofers and have nothing to do with roofing and installation, so there is no connection anyway. 

Obviously, Ms. Beatrice, you have some issues and I'm sorry for you that you were treated unfairly with your past dealings in getting your roof replaced; however, that is no reason to trash this group of people that are diligently trying to build a business . . . a very good one, at that.  Writing a bunch of untrue statements and therefore causing Mike to lose customers is NOT going to change what happened with your roof and insurance company.  Also, I can't imagine that you feel good about yourself for slandering innocent people and their efforts. 

Please notice that while I'm telling you MY opinion, I am not posting your family photos for 'dramatic emphasis'.  That was just wrong and you probably need therapy of some sort.

While I am loathe to respond to this type of internet “trash-talk”, I cannot sit back and let someone, willfully and ignorantly, ruin the business I am working hard to build.  I would love to ignore it completely, which is the amount of attention it deserves, but unfortunately, I am FORCED to respond, if only to protect my good name and the reputation of the employees and service contractors that are depending on my company for their very livelihood.  Ms. Beatrice Meens’ report is not only FALSE, but it is WRONG on many, many levels and in every sense of the word.  

1.        My name is Michael Harris and I am the sole owner of SitSold.com.  Always have been, always will be.  Perhaps Ms. Meens should have researched some REPUTABLE sources, such as the State of Georgia Secretary of State, the Internal Revenue Service, or perhaps just even the City of Roswell.  All of whom will state that I am the sole owner/member of this company.  MY name is on the lease for our office, of which I am the personal guarantor.  MY name is on the utilities, the internet, the phone, all of the the bank accounts, the tax accounts, the licenses, etc and I AM the one responsible for this company and everyone that it pays.  I am more than happy to provide those documents if Ms. Meens cannot be troubled to do the research.

2.       Not on a single piece of government paper does Carlton Dewayne Dunko’s name appear.  He is NOT an owner, an employee, a receptionist or even a janitor for SitSold.com.  Mr. Dunko did do consulting work for me in the beginning of my development of SitSold.com, but that is a VERY, VERY long step from “owning” the company, is it not?  Regardless of the charges against him (of which he has NOT been convicted…another false statement in Ms. Meens post) he had knowledge of software development that was very useful and beneficial to my company and I won’t apologize for that.  I alone will determine what course my business will take and not uninformed outsiders, such as Ms. Meens.

3.       As far as our records can tell, Ms. Meens has NEVER BEEN a customer of SitSold.com, because we are NOT a roofing company.  For her to cast aspersions and judgments on a company that she has absolutely no personal knowledge of or experience with is disingenuous at best, and libelous at worst.  What relationship can Ms. Meens show that she has with SitSold.com?  Absolutely NONE.  How can she judge the effectiveness of our business OR the products and services we provide?  She cannot.  Isn’t that the intended purpose of posting on Rip-Off Report?  Again, MS. MEENS HAS NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF SITSOLD.COM, thereby rendering her entire post unfounded, unwarranted and unjustified.

4.       Ms. Meens has yet to provide any proof for any of the opinions she is trying to pass off as “fact”.  A few blog sites and news stories about some other company, not SitSold.com, is tenuous in the EXTREME and laughable as a matter of discourse.   

While I’m sure that Ms. Meens is experiencing a distressing personal situation regarding her involvement with the defunct American Shingle, I find that to be no excuse or reason for this malicious post and I find it reprehensible that she would be so thoughtless and careless in her actions.   

A simple phone call or visit to our office would have saved her the trouble (and the embarrassment) of my having to post this rebuttal against her ludicrous assertions.  A retraction of these statements will have to suffice as we do not foresee an apology forthcoming.  

P.S.  On a personal note, I find it disgusting, absolutely DISGUSTING, that Ms. Meens would post a picture of not only Mr. Dunko, but his innocent wife and newborn child.  As a family man myself, the fact that she would include THAT picture in THIS type of post appears, on its face, to be menacing in the extreme.  It added nothing to the discussion and went a long way in discrediting Ms. Meens and her motivations, even more than already established.

Finally arrested. Read this article link. DeWayne Dunko, owner of American Shingle and Sitsold.com roofing software was finally arrested. Do not buy a thing from this crook!
