I came to 6 Day when a dentist I had heard of started to work there. I called to make an appointment with him and check to make sure that my insurance was accepted. I was assured that they accepted my insurance and I made an appointment.

I meet the dentist on the first visit and liked him. He diagnosed my problem as a wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled and a cracked tooth that would need a root canal and crown. The tooth was pulled at that time and the root canal prep was scheduled for two weeks later, January '08, to get them on the next years insurance cycle.

When I arrived for the root canal prep, the original dentist, with whom the appointment was made, was not there. In walked another dentist. I questioned the fact that I thought I was booking with the dentist and was told that I was booking with the office. I was there and ready so I went forward. No Money was requested or offered. I won't go through the problems I had with the temp crown. When I finally got the call that the crown was ready, I got the same hard core money push that others have reported on this site. The price seemed far too high for the services rendered. Not exactly the price I had discused with the clerk. Everything was spoken about in terms of "when we see what the Ins. Pays." My insurance pays 1/2 and I pay 1/2 as a rule. I asked more than once what the standard was for this care. I never got a straight answer. I now know why.

Six Day Dental is not a provider approved by my insurance. They Lied the first time I spoke with them. Based on the 1/2 and 1/2 rule, I over paid by more than $200. I am curently waiting for a final accounting from my insurance company to go back to Six Day for a refund.

Don't get involved with these people. You don't know what you will get.

Do you actually know of dentists at this office who are rapists?

6 day dental - unethical-unconcerned-all about how much they can overcharge you

- Six day dental did the same thing to me. They tried to overcharge me over $300.00 more than was owed. They DO NOT want to bill your insurance, cause that takes time and work for them to get their money. They also do 2nd class work. I have extensive dental work, numerous crowns and by far the worst looking one is the one 6 day dental did. Now it is leaking and causing a really bad taste in my mouth, literally. It has been adjusted several times and now it is 1/2 the size of my regular teeth. It also sticks out on the side, not flush with my other teeth and gums. I am having to see another dentist to correct their work. Their office staff are trained to lie, in order to reel in unsuspecting patients/victims. They have a legal quote for everything they do, in writing and their uneducated staff mis quoting alledged laws. I have talked to numerous former patients of theirs, and everyone says the same thing. They were pressured to get work, like it had to be done RIGHT THEN. If you refused their staff give you an attitude. These people are truly con artists that could care less if you return to their bogus practice or not, because there are other willing to pay victims out there. At first I was so happy to have a dentist open on Saturday, that paying more was not an issue, because they are out of network on all insurance. I didnt even mind their heavy sales tactics because I know everyone has to make a living. Since that time I have had nothing but trouble with the crown they did. Their staff try to collect/defraud patients for more money than they are owed, because they know their work is shoddy at best, and 99% people would refuse to pay any balance. If you dare to express any concerns regarding their aggressive tactics, you are ignored/stone walled because they got their money and there are other victims more willing to give them money. Know your rights - Texas State Board of Dental Examiners - Rules and Regulations. I did extensive research on quoted "laws" by their staff and they couldnt be further from the truth. Someone from their office posted on my comments about them, basically calling me a "complainer" and stating "you get what you pay for". Me refusing to pay them more money that I owed must have angered them. Guess they were counting on my interest free loan to pay their rent or their arrested for rape doctor's bail.
