On November 27, 2018 Progressive Roots Capital Holdings sent us papers to purchase our Seagarden timeshare in Mexico. They were going to pay us $18,260.00 for the property. They sent us "Assignment For  Lodging Rights and Services" "Guarantee Letter" and "Final Benefeciary Bank Information". We signed all the papers and faxed them back. We were informed the closing costs would cost $3,217.05 USD. We wired the amount to the Mexican address given to us. Then Mexico asked for a Tax Lien of 16% which was $2.921.60 USD.

Registry of Foreign investment 3% which amounted tO $1,460.80. Next was Release Fee $1,759.00. Next was Bank Trust $4,600.00. Next wasLawyers fees $3,800.00. Their last request was going to be $3,625 because there was a difference in the value of the peso now from November when it started to now. I know Mexico is difficult to deal with, butI had had it. I protested the new cost and Linda said she would call be Fri. as usual. I didn't hear from her Friday. I called Linda on Monday and got a busy signal. Called all day and got the busy signal. called Ray, the holding Co. and left a message.

All this was going on when my husband was in the hospital. He went in on Thanksgiving and passed away December 11th. Linda knew all this was going on in my life and she stilled carried on. Each time there was a bank wire they told me I would be reimbursed all my costs. That would amount to a total of $36,566.25. I asked who was paying  for the costs and they said the company buying the Mexico timeshares would pay.

I know Mexico is a pain in the a*s to deal with so the added costs didn't sound wrong.

When I couldn't reach anyone, I checked back with Sky Properties on the internet. On JANUARY 6 there was complaint about being scammed. Exactly like me, then I was sure I had been screwed too. I am out a little over $18000.00. Happy New Year to me and my family.  I am going to contact the Virginia Attorny General. Won't do too much good, except to made me feel better.
