Dear Hard to fool me,
Really what you stated is so far from the truth. First my roof was covered under my homeowners. Second I was not going to commit insurance fraud by claiming damage and not having it repaired. Third I made the mistake of not knowing the law and not reading the entire contract. Fourth I believed what I was told so go back to item three. My bill was paid and the company never completed the job, minor items.
The salesman who responded above I am told no longer works for the company.
I suggest no matter who you deal with get mutiple estimates and check the company out with the State, the County or city and the BBB. The old addage of something for nothing rings true. I made a mistake and just want to forward others

It sounds like the customer is the con artist here. Trying to get something for nothing. Sounds like the customers excepts people to work for free.

I would expect an employee to stand up for his employer. Why would he not in an economy where jobs are scarce. All I can say is do your hmework, get mutiple estimates, check the BBB, and get it in writting from the owner not the sales person. In other words buyer beware.

Skyhigh Siding & Roofing, Inc. (Skyhigh) was surprised to learn that one of our customers wrote a report about Skyhigh in the Ripoff Report. I am an employee of Skyhigh who actually worked on this job. I am responding to Barts comment about Skyhigh, so that prospective customers will be able to read both sides of the story. Please keep in mind that out of the thousands of customers for whom Skyhigh has performed work, only 2 have written something in Ripoff Report and 1 of those customers essentially retracted his statement a short time later. Skyhigh has an A rating with the BBB.
Barts roof did not meet Florida Building Code and his home had sustained some interior damage as a result. Bart signed a contract with Skyhigh for a roof replacement and interior repairs for the price that the insurance company set note that Skyhigh is both a licensed general contractor and licensed roofing contractor in the State of
Unfortunately, with any construction project, accidents can happen. It is true that Barts windshield was damaged during the construction process. This was due to his vehicle being parked in his driveway during his tile install. It is very rare for a homeowner to leave a car in the driveway during a roof replacement, but for some reason Bart left his car in the driveway. Skyhigh apologized for damaging the windshield and we replaced his windshield without hesitation. Also, during the removal of his old roof, a tile fell off of his two story house and hit his pump. Although Skyhigh sent someone to fix the problem, Bart wanted his own irrigation man to replace the pump. Skyhigh reimbursed Bart for this cost. In short, if Skyhigh damaged Barts property, Skyhigh worked with our customer to correct the problem by either repairing/replacing the damaged item or reimbursing Bart the money he spent to have the repair performed. Bart failed to mention that his roof passed final inspection when the building department performed the inspection. Bart also failed to mention that Skyhigh is providing an excellent warranty on his roof.
Bart wanted Skyhigh to complete a mitigation report for him for free. A mitigation report is not part of the contract. However, as a courtesy to our customers, Skyhigh completes the mitigation reports free of charge for good customers. Skyhigh is able to perform mitigation inspections because we are a licensed general contractor, not just a licensed roofing contractor. Skyhigh did not give Bart a free mitigation report. We offered to complete one for him, but he said he did not want to pay for it. Bart made the following comment in his report, I have since had an attorney send a letter to the company and after a week have received no response. Skyhighs attorney (who is a member of both the Florida Bar and the Texas Bar) responded promptly to Barts attorney. If Barts attorney did not communicate back to Bart, that is not Skyhighs fault. Barts attorneys letter demanded that Skyhigh complete a mitigation report for free. After Skyhigh went through the contract with Barts attorney and explained the facts, it was clear that Skyhigh complied with all terms of the contract.
In closing, Barts complaint about Skyhigh is both inaccurate and unfair. In an effort to cause problems for Skyhigh, Bart complained to other agencies. These agencies said that Skyhigh complied with codes and had done nothing wrong. Skyhigh stands by our work and we received a number of referrals from Barts neighbors because of great work we performed. We did everything that we agreed on per our contract and we believe that Barts complaint is unfounded. If we did not do something, it is because Bart wanted it done for free or at a significant discount, contrary to the contract that he signed with Skyhigh. Skyhigh is both a licensed general contractor and licensed roofing contractor in the state of
