Sleek Med Spa in NYC ran a special that if you purchased 2 botox areas, you received a 3rd one free.  I agreed to it provided I could use the 3rd treatment at my convenience.  So here I am a year later, wanting to use my balance at Sleek only to shockingly find that they had closed.  How many patients lost money because of this unannounced and Machiavellian plan?  I bet none of the investors or doctors.  I would hope that the staff did not endure being laid off too long.  The villians just move on with their stolen money to another unethetical situation or maybe retire and enjoy their hard-won  money with no thought about villianous or despicable.... after all, they are rich now.

When you made your purchase and then made the choice to put off the third treatment, that was the risk YOU took. At the time of purchase Im sure they had no plans to close up. But because they closed up shop doesnt mean you were mugged. It means that YOU missed out on the chance to get a FREE botox. You already got the "value" of your purchase the extra one was a freebe. So youre not out ANY money. YOU just missed the chance to get your free one at a later date. And thats all. Neither you or they could have predicted that they would be going out of business at the time you made your choice to hold off on the free botox.

Businesses tend to fail sometimes. Normally its because the services or product they sell are no longer relevant or needed in the area. Given the fact that the American Consumer is a cheap tightwad that doesnt want to spend a PENNY more then they ABSOLUTLY have to. A spa business going under is no real surprise.

The American consumer has tightened their belts and this causes companies to go under. If you REALLy are this upset over it then I would suggest that you help by breaking the standard. Next time a clerk/cashier offers you something "extra" such as a warrenty or batteries ect, you take a moment and NOT say NO first thing. Its those little extra things that help keep a business going.
