The sleigh bed you purchased is up to "Industry Standards" as long as it has a center support board, usually 3-6 boards at least 4-6" in width, and the proper overall width across the frame to uphold the center of the boxspring. Usually, a Queen or King (Eastern or Cali-King) use 5 boards, and they COME that way. Some more, some less, but always a MINIMUM of three for a Queen(and THOSE are 6" in width). When you purchased a bedframe from Sleepy's, it had a center support crosspiece, and as long as it had that, then your boxspring and mattress were getting proper support. And the sleigh bed didn't change that, and do NOT let ANYBODY tell you differently. If you look on the "law tag" on the mattress you purchased, you'll find the name of the factory that actually manufactured the mattress (usually under contract to the 'make-model' maker') and you can call information for the telephone number, and if you call them, they'll help you get the exchange. After all, their good name is involved here, and they are truly actionable (in Lawyer-ese) for this "eff-up" by Sleepy's, acting as their agents here. And you can take this to the bank: The employee at Sleepy's who lied to you will be very ignominiously fired, and right ricky-tick quick. I can tell you that I have actually seen this happen to a former (very, very former) salesperson, who also did what you are relating here happened to you.
