2 days after placing this complaint I was contacted by sleepys. They credited the money for the mattress only $950. It has to be used within 14 days (Which sucks beause I has already purchased a new mattress from another vendor being they told me my mattress was still up to standard & would not be refunding me) Better then nothing i guess so I went to the show room on a Saturday to pick out a new mattress. I was not going to just let $950 go out the window.
I had already picked out a few to look at online so i had an idea of what i wanted. I picked a new mattress for $999. Now online they offer free delivery if you spend over $599. In store they charge $99 for delivery i asked if I could just pick it up. No they have to deliver, Of course they do! they have to try to get something out of you. I asked for the free delivery deal they offer online as I was spending $999 I should get the same deal right? all of the mattress are the same price online as in store so what difference does it make right. Nope wrong the sales woman said she could call the supervisor and see what they could do anout the delivery charge, the best they could do for me was give me a half price discount for delivery @$50. The saleswomen also asked the supervisor if they could also credit me the cost of a new boxspring to go with the mattress being my original purchase was both mattress and boxspring. The supervisor once again could only offer a discount on a new boxspring. I declined after what I have been through with them I will not be putting out anymore $ to them. So I just purchased the new mattress for $999 with my credit and had to put out $100 for the difference and delivery fee. It was finally over and done with so I thought...
The next day (Sunday) my mattress was going to be delivered between 12-4. Around 10 am I hear sleepys ad on the radio... there new sale starting today (Sunday) was for the same mattress I had just purchased the day before. I went online to see how much cheaper it was. Well now the mattress and boxspring were $999! I had purchased just the mattress for $999 the day prior. Now when the saleswomen asked the supervisor if they would give me the boxsping the day before they could only offer a discount! This made me furious they will try to get whatever they can out of you. They knew d**n well that it was going to go on sale (Free) the next day and still wanted to see if they could get away with charging me for it.
I called the showroom imediatly and told them i heard the ad and wanted the boxspring as I had paid that price just the day before without the boxspring. They told me i had to contact customer service about it there was nothing they could do. I called customer service after talking to 3 different people they canceled my delivery for that day and added the boxspring to my order for free to be delivered the next day. Nice right.
Moral of the story is Sleepys will try to get away with anything they can. I will never deal with them again. This has been the worst shopping experiance I have ever had. I thougt they were trying to right there wrong, but givin the oppertunity they will see how much they can get away with.
