I just want to take the time to express my fury with this company. We bought our first house in a new city, so of course we activated the alarm that was already in the house. The representative glazed over the fact that we would be locked in for five years, but more to the point, we have accidentally tripped the alarm over 6 times, there was a brick thrown through our window and we have used the panic buttons 2x and none of these times did slomins bother to call us.

Because of this, we felt like we were throwing money away monthly and decided to cancel. So we called them in January and the representative took my info and said ok, thank you. So, as far as I was concerned it was canceled.

The next thing I know, we get a bill in April saying that we can pay $1200 to cancel or we can continue service and pay for the past few months (remember the months that we thought we canceled?)

So we call them, and the representative was snide and rude and could care less about what I was saying. Her attitude was one of -oh well, so how do you want to pay this?' she talked over me and was very rude and disrespectful.

I got the feeling that the person you sign the contract with baits you and then once you sign-THEY DON'T HAVE TO TREAT YOU NICELY ANYMORE they also don't have to monitor your system, either, because we certainly never got a call EVER!

So, here we are, paying for service that probably doesn't exist, let's just hope that the alarm going off will be enough of a deterrent if someone actually did break in.

So, No-I am not interested in employees responses about how it's our fault, we are the bad guys, boo h*o h*o. I just want people in the market to look anywhere but slomins, my experience has been terrible.

Merci!

THIS SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THOSS UNCONSCIONABLE CONTRACTS I STUDIED IN CONTRing conmen they have for saloespeopoleACT LAW. How closely did you guys read the paperwork? You can't believe the lying con people they have for salesmen!Q They would murder their firstborn to get a dollar --dishonest or not! You have to read the contract, the whole contract. Pay special attention to the part at the bottom right before your signature. If the salesperson does not let you read it, then tell him/her to go to hell and you will take your business elsewhere. You take this to court and it could go either way. The judge will ask you if you knew what you were signing and s/he willblame you for not reading it and knowing what it said --especially if you are well-educated, relatively affluent, professional people. If you are poor with not much education and get rooked into something like this, the Court will probably rule i nyour favor. I AM NOT A LAWYER YET AND THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE. This is some of what I learned based on studying Contract Law. Security -- from alarm comapnies to guard services they ALL have ways of ripping you off... Good luck in Court!
